Nintendo makes unique experiences. You sound like you want Nintendo to become a glorified pc. "Gimmicks" allow for new games and ideas. They allow for new games to be made. Just look at the darn d-pad Nintendo made, the analog, the rumble, inferred wireless play, touch screen (nintendo made it popular before phones started to even use it), multi screen with ds and gamepad, motion controls, shoulder buttons, game to hand held interaction, etc.

Hope it is a decent length. It looks so creative in level progression I want it to last at least a couple of hours.
They did say there was going to be single player but they showed nothing of it. They said the core is in multiplayer.
Obviously this list is talking Smash, Mario kart and Bayonetta 2 which will all be well deserving. Though I think many have forgotten the greatness of Donkey kong country tropical freeze. That game is an art in 2d level design. That game is seriously underrated is sales and score (look at gamespot).
We need more couch co-op games. Nintendo is the only one still making them. I can't play many games with my little brother on xbox or playstation. Those are mainly single player systems.

Is this the only part of the trailer the guy saw? It looks like a normal city because it is a refuge from Earth. You are a human survivor from Earth exploring an alien planet. Once you exit that city, it is all fantasy. :P
This game seems to be set in it's own universe from Xenoblade. This is more science fiction while Xenoblade was more fantasy. That and Xenoblade took place in a completely different fantasy world while this is humans from our world in the distant futur...

I dont think it is fair how this article in directly stated what Reggie said. Reggie did not quote this directly. In fact, if you read the interview it sounds completely different how he phrased it. This is more click bait then what it needs to be.

Sadly, there is nothing Nintendo and Reggie specifically can do about it. The only thing Nintendo can do is release amazing first party titles to give people a reason to buy. People like third parties on there system because it guarantees games they may or may not like. Though when you buy a wii u some people don't like the risk in not having a guarantee of having XX amount of titles. So the best thing Nintendo can do is to make as many high quality 1rst party games as possible to out mat...
Wii u still has a lot of potential. There have been so many unique game experiences that wii u has done so far that I am excited to see what else they can do with it.
