Portal has opened up the puzzle game genre to everyone with an idea of how to bend physics. I dunno... this game looks like a pass to me.
The game looks pretty snazzy from those screenshots. Anyone around here played it yet?
I never really considered using my 3DS for these type of games, but I guess it makes sense?
I've been looking for a decent platformer lately! Might check it out.
I've taken the stance that I'll be waiting at least a couple of months to see what comes of Windows 8. If what you say is true about the new UI being bad for mouse control, I might hold off longer.
@agent1up
That's a fair statement, and I believe that it gives Nintendo a good headstart, but what I'm worried about is the following years once Sony and Microsoft have introduced their next gen consoles to the market.
It's all well and good to say that the 3DS has benefited from an early release, but it's a completely different market from consoles. The handheld market is starving for something to define it, so saying that the 3DS leads the ...
I think you're all looking at this in the wrong light. Yeah, maybe at the moment the Wii U is looking pretty awesome. I mean, it's the only console announced for the next generation. But will it be able to maintain a solid presence once the "PS4" and "Xbox 720" are released?
This article seems to be indirectly asking the same question while providing a couple of clues as to how it should actually accomplish this.
The fact that it h...
God those pick-up groups can be a nightmare. They're bad enough in ME3, but when you get around to games like WoW and the like they're even worse!
I think I was sold on the game after the first two paragraphs. It looks like fun!
I'm rooting for them. It's a great game (I'm currently in a quest with friends in the beta). People should definitely head to the Kickstarter and support them!
I'm willing to adopt the 'wait and see' approach for the Wii U's launch. While they do have a stronger line up than in previous console releases, there's nothing overly enticing about it either. I'm a little surprised at how quickly pre-orders are selling out, actually.
I played this at PAX and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I can't wait for it to release next month!
I want to say they should go free-to-play and use micro-transactions, but what could they sell? I suppose cosmetic items for player homes and clothes? The author makes good points about maintaining an audience and I can't imagine Elder Scrolls doing that if they don't do something completely different from what's already out there.
Hah! A different side of the co-op culture to be sure.
I liked all of the Tom Cruise references in the review. Fun bit of uniqueness to something that every other site will already have.
The aesthetics look well-suited to the type of game, so maybe it's something I'll look into further down the line.
So far I'm pretty sold on the game. I especially like the area event quests; they give the world a sense of life.
Wasn't there some industry professional that was lobbying to make eSports an Olympic event?
I've seen a few decent looking levels. Some creative, some challenging. Here's hoping the community keeps it up.
I dunno if I can say no to steampunk + post apocalypse + point-and-click
