The funniest bit is this same author wrote an article the next day listing PUBG on PS4 as a "must-have" title.

Sadly, no. It was published on March 30th.
Because they own the code, the character models, every single asset and audio file in the game. All of it is their property.
This is a first party title, period.
I can't wait to see all the new trailer reveals he secures after this trip!
Zombies sleep, build nests, need a water source, have a hierarchy, and are affected by weather?
I think it "borrows" a lot less from that than any of y'all are willing to admit, especially given what they're doing with the Freakers.
Hey, in Sea of Thieves that's a FEATURE.
Did you just call Blu-Ray a gimmick?
I mean putting games on Blu-Ray discs is literally what allowed games that took multiple discs on the 360 to fit onto one disc for the PS3. MUCH more efficient, and had value well outside of just a movie format.
"All the delays"
You mean all two of them?
@Imalwaysright
That's because Marvel owns the character. The GAME, however, is Sony's property.
For example, Marvel can't just take ahold of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, the Deadpool game, or Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 and give them to another Publisher to put out. Why?
Because Activision still owns those games. Wholly. Just like they'll never be able to just take this game here and sell it on other platforms, or ha...
@Imalwaysright
No, that's not what it means at all. Sony owns the license and the game in its entirety. Not owning the character does not mean they don't own that game. Marvel's Spider-man is wholely Sony's, as they hold the license, paid for the development and published directly. Not owning the development team is not the same as it being a third or second party arrangement.
In fact, they own this the same way Activision owns those old g...
Also worth noting: Insomniac had their pick of Marvel characters to make a game out of. THEY chose Spider-Man. It's quite unlikely that would be tied to Spider-Man film rights.
It basically means that there are so many possibilities and different ways to do things that the world shouldn't be repetitive or predictable. There'll be no "safe methods", trying the same tactic won't have the exact same results each time, random encounters will actually be random and not set up in specific areas where you "know" to be on alert, etc.
"If they lost track of what gamers would like to see in a showing"
They can't produce an E3-level show every time they do something, and that's pretty clearly what gamers have come to expect.
If you went in expecting normal updates on titles coming soon, then I don't see what there is to be mad about. Everything I hear in terms of people complaining is a lack of announcements, a lack of a TLOU 2 release date, a lack of a DREAMS relea...
"That actually made a difference when they did that. People weren't as disappointed."
My guy they got shredded in the press and here on N4G for that. They were meme'd to hell and back. They gave the same caveat before PSX that one year too and the fanboys RAGED at how "bad" their "conference" was.
They announced a video presentation, the first EPISODE of a series, three days before it aired, and said it would have a r...
They kinda did. They very specifically said that it was gonna have PSVR news.
Good thing we got several good things then.
They uploaded a VOD of just the show with no countdown timer. Was never about "resetting".
There's a difference between BC and technology intended to essentially eliminate the worry that games would become unplayable and lost to time.
That's because they already have a Switch that works fine and this is something new.
If your measure of "Good" is "world-changing", then almost nothing is good.
You've got some pretty out-of-whack standards, my guy.
