Honestly that's no one's fault but Bungie's. The fact that they felt they'd have a more enjoyable time with Activision as a publisher vs. Microsoft was a bad play. If they wanted even the slightest bit of creative control over what happens with their games they shouldve gone to Sony. You don't see Naughty Dog pumping out Uncharted, Guerilla Games making Horizon, and Sucker Punch is making a new IP.
If it was made by Ubisoft, I understand your concern. But it's not, so lay them to rest friend.
On one hand you'll have the Scorpio that will theoretically let you play most multiplatform games at 4k native or the like, yet miss out on Sony exclusives.
On the Pro you get your 4k gaming through checkerboard up scaling which honestly looks just as good. And on top of that you get dozens of great, critically acclaimed exclusives that hit month after month. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

He's talking about the average consumer who walks into a store and sees a PS4 with twice as many games in its library and like 5 times as many exclusives in the pipeline coming its way. Yet it's been 3 years since its actually been utilised on a single Xbox 1 game.
Technically Nintendo sold two consoles this way. First the Wii U, and now they're going to release the definitive edition on the Switch.
