@riibhu
You make an intelligent argument concerning the WiiU, however Nintendo's first party offerings for the WiiU were far from consistent year over year, in addition the lack of 3rd party with the slow burn of first party games meant the demise of the Wii successor. While there are various factors which certainly played a major part in the success of the PS4 this generation, personally I believe the massive list of quality first party and exclusives games for the PS4 are the s...
@execution17, that is for certain! I have personally never understood how a game as entertaining and over the top as Sunset Overdrive crashed and burned so hard. To this day it is easily one of the best games on the Xbox One, yet it sold poorly. However, exclusive games that are that good on the PS4 tend to sell quite well. It may or may not be how Microsoft markets their game, I truly don't know. But I'm certain that if Sunset Overdrive was a PS4 exclusive it would have sold far bett...
@Thomaticus
Absolutely!
@DrumBeat, You make a great point!
A $99 next-gen Xbox is extremely far-fetched! Not happening, sorry!
@ArchangelMike
Launching before the PS5 does seem like the best course of action, however it will be somewhat tricky since the Xbox One X just launched less than a year ago and next-gen rumors are targeting a 2020 timeframe. For the Xbox Scarlett (regardless of its power) Microsoft will certainly need to showcase some stellar games, and as you stated mainly some impressive exclusives in order to build significant interest. I'm certain the revolving door of Gears, Halo a...
Based on the screenshots and the trailer, what's on display is quite impressive for just one person, wow! We will keep our eyes out for more on this title. Great post!
It seems more like Sony is being careful with PSN due to their history of being hacked. Also, I'm sure Sony will be on board when other major publisher start adding the cross-platform feature to their games.
Wow, that is super impressive!
Yes they are!
Firewall: Zero Hour, which recently released is a PSVR/PlayStation exclusive FPS and is absolutely fantastic! Its current 78 metacritic score is quite deceiving. The game is certainly a PSVR system seller and should be rated no lower than 80 on metacritic. As Cupid_Viper_3 stated, there is absolutely nothing else like it on the market.
I would certainly take that bet! Especially if First Contact (developer) manages to drop some new updates.
@chris235,
If you currently own PSVR I highly recommend that you make an exception for Firewall Zero Hour. While the game is a multiplayer experience, the community here is quite mature as the game breeds a selective group of players vying for a cooperative team based affair.
@ILostMyMind
Killzone most certainly needs a campaign, the lore of its universe it too fascinating not to offer it.
Yes!
@Kumakai
"Maybe a new game but based in the same universe" - That would be quite interesting!
@Shiken
That is completely understandable, however now that Guerrilla Games has seasoned in-house writers and a seemingly great handle on the RPG genre, with their high level of FPS expertise, I'm sure they could now developer an incredible Killzone experience.
Very well said!
Haze was quite bad, however I believe Sony actually hit a homerun with Killzone, while the Resistance series was also an enjoyable experience. It all depends on what you mean by failed. From a sales standpoint the Killzone series has been quite profitable for Sony and a critical success as an exclusive shooter.
PS Now always works great for me, just saying!
