In 2010, The Playstation 3 has absolutely nothing apart from God of War. Sadly everyone, including me, will be too busy playing Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake for that game.

Gears of war crushes Quantum Theory in every category.
The story of Quantum Theory will not be as epic and heart-wrenching as Gears of War. It will also not have as good music as Gears considering GoW2 has one of the best soundtracks in recent memory with epic pieces perfectly matching the grand scale of the game, and the graphics of Quantum Theory are pathetic; even the original Gears of war back in 2007 looks better than it:

Let's get something straight Playstation Fans. You can wish all you want but Mass Effect 2 is NOT coming to the Playstation 3. BioWare and Microsoft made a contract for exclusivity of the series Mass Effect. EA bought BioWare and must honor that contract deal, basically Microsoft put up money for Mass Effect in hopes of getting a Trilogy or they must buy out Microsoft from deal.

They both look the same apart from one (Xbox 360) being a little bit brighter than the other (Playstation 3). The Joker is only available in the challenge rooms and not the actual campaign, only absurd fanboys would actually brag over something that stupid.
I would recommend buying the version which you think has the most comfortable controller. I personally think the Xbox 360 has the best controller.

Gears of war 2 has huge environments like you said. If it was set in small corridors like in Batman Arkham Asylum then it's graphics would be near Crysis standard, as Epic Games would be able to cram in alot more detail to the graphics.

This guy has obviously not played Gears of war. Marcus isn't afraid of anything and the Riftworm in Gears makes these enemies look like cute teddy bears.
And Quantum looks absolutely terrible. It's visually too dark and it is far too similar to Gears of war; meaning its unoriginal and uninspired.
