I played dark souls first , then demons souls , so i dont know which one is more difficult but i still enjoyed them both. i just got my platinum trophy for dark souls :)

RE4 was great , it was both horror and action. but they ruined it by adding more action in 5 and 6. and thats when i knew that resident evil was done.
