... halo 3 engine BUILDS upon the tech of the halo 2 engine (from xbox 1) which was again built from the halo ce engine (xbox 1)... that means they kept adding stuff to the halo ce engine to make the halo 2 engine and then the halo 3 engine...
its the same engine re OPTIMIZED (made to run properly) around the archietecture of the X360... they added better lighting support and aa... it was NOT built from the ground up for the x360...
the ammount of chaos that goes on in the screen its crazy .... and frame rate doesnt even hitch ... that multi scarb fight in halo 3 is still my fav moment .,..
first time i played it it was with my bro and his friend the music was blaring and i took a hornet flew it over the scarb jumped off mid flight landed on top of that giant and got myself inside it to destroy its generator...and all the while my bro and his friend were holding the fort and waitng for me underneath the sc...

yea at this day and age its probably not that good ... but i still think this falls into the media nit picking category like they say but the guys with the 50'' screens really notice the differences and it sucks for them since bungie still uses the same old halo ce engine from xbox 1
but in terms of specular and lighting halo 3 was really good ...and considering the epic scale of each environment and the ammount of sh*t that goes on at screen ... for eg: at a point you have 15 ...

tell you one thing ... after halo reach, halo will be something very diffrernt ... they're cooking reach to be a complete facelift for the halo series... there's talks even about making reach into a third person shooter with a cover system etc(not just in turret sequences like halo 3).. the other thing is its probably going to be more gritty and much darker than the previous games... we'll just have to wait and see

online co op would have been nice... but a robin and batman duo invovled in this arkham story not so much ... however if they seperated the arkham story and added a special co op mode with a little side story and have joker kill robin in the end like from the books... then that would have been sweet

i agreed with you in my comments above ... but unlike you i think ms should just leave the japanese market alone ... and with a possible gears 3 coming out next year with halo reach and fable 3 ... things will get interesting for them .. a slim is not a necessity ...
and besides even if they go for a redesign there are too many accessories out there for the current model to take note of ...
