the "do whatever resolution you want" rule.. up untill now only ms had the 720 p above resolution limit...
but since quite a few games run on sub hd already (mw2 being the latest) the implimentation of this limit is really pointless... this wont effect the ps3 at all
so sony did't have a rule like this... and developers were and still are allowed to make sub hd games on the ps3... and ms had a rule to make all game in 720 p above but now its using the same principle as sony's...
it'll be interesting to see what happens .. either we'll be seeing more sub hd identical looking games on both consoles or the developers will just keep it the way things are going now...
but wait could this rule be the reason why games like gta 4, gh...
love this game ... really wish there were advanced modding capabilities in console games ... san andreas was hellafun with the bat mobile mod on pc.... gta 4 would be crazy that way ...
hmm ... well obviously those developers and companies are bounded by legal contracts... for eg a third party developer cant say at a ms pressconference in e3 that his current 360 exclusive will be coming out with better features and more content in a couple of years to the other system after this contract expires... i mean its really just buisness... promises and loyalty are far and few with the third party content this gen...

dude do you really believe sony or microsoft really care... they'll both gather as much exclusives content as they can under their belt by the end of this gen .... coz at the end of the day they just want to sell their systems...

its kind of tuff to judge this ... odst ships with all the original halo 3 map packs on a separate disc.. and each map pack was worth 800 micro points (10$) packs include herioc, mythic and legendary.. and obviously odst comes with a new sp campaign.. with new mp odst maps for fire fight and other matches ... but since this is all acompanied with all the original downloadable map packs from halo 3 on a second disc thats probably the reason for the price hike

hmm part of the reason for the so called "failiure" you mention was because eye toy was strictly an optional add on and it still is... it had its own seperate games and wasnt forced upon by sony with their consoles... and why would they before the wii motion was an optional/secondary experience...
seeing recent interviews with shane kim and other xbox staffers it seems that natal is a major part of the 360 future life cycle... they even said they want to relaunch the ...
they showed host migration in a gameplay trailer and made it look cool ... credit it where its due come on .. sweet

i've been gaming a lot of halo ce multiplayer my laptop lately ... and honestly online gaming should be free... maybe its coz i havent been on my 360 for a while but ... its messed up like for eg halo 3 on the 360 you need live sub and you need all map packs as well...
microsoft should just let online gaming be free, but party system, 1 vs 100, early acess and discounts should be only for gold ... that way its win win
