I was around long enough, and I for sure can tell you Sony has never done this,it's unprecedented for a reason.
Sony literally adapted Nintendo philosophy of quality (back when Nintendo had a gold seal) for its first party titles but for adults.
Sony knows talent and they monopolize on that.they just know how to scout talent and this is why Microsoft would never and could never beat Sony in the gaming space.they never needed to do this.
