Oh you didn't think I knew that? Sean on that dev team almost killed himself from depression after the game launched and he was supposed to be the spokesperson of the game. I hope he's doing better now...
Regardless, I will say that NMS has improved exponentially since release and became a game that is a must play. You need to learn how to use punctuation and grammar properly before you can even talk to me. Have a good one, fanboy ;)
Personally, I disagree, but to each their own. Everyone has their own expectations of what a "next gen" game should be, and it did not live up to the lofty expectations of a lot of people. For me, I do understand the rudimentatary tech they are still using (still based on gamebryo!) so they can only do what is possible with that tech.
I do hope they move on from Gamebryo. It was showing its limitations in Fallout 4, and continues to do so... Though I AM impressed ...
I have now thanks very much! And y'know what? I love it. It's exactly what I thought it would be. Like I said. So stfu ;)
This I understand. I would have liked that as well to be honest, but the amount of detail they wanted to put in to the game I think we are still a ways off from that. NMS was a big "wow" moment for me when I could get in to my ship and travel off planet without load times. The rest of the game was meh. It still is meh. But I will say that if I could combine NMS and Starfield in the right ways, that game would be unreal. Maybe a couple more gens!
Wow, big words from a small person. Unfortunately you are wasting your words on the wrong person ;)
Nothing has "tickled my buttcheeks" since the original gears of war on x360, thanks very much.
oops, did I awake yet another fanboy? Teehee
These people are f***ing retard**. You expected a scripted game with No Man's Sky level procedural generation? Good fu**ing luck bud. We are years off from that level of game. I knew exactly what Starfield was going to be, AND I HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED IT.
No Man's Sky was a f***ing disaster when it launched. Playing it now, it isn't even close to the same game it was all those years ago when they lauded themselves as a PS exclusive, and when it bombed hard the...
Always love how these posts have almost no comments. Ahem... I don't dabble in this riff raff! Ahem...
A definite downer, that's for sure. Though I am sure that if enough copies are sold digitally, they will release a physical copy. Here is hoping, so I don't have to resort to ROMs in the future. *oops*
Remedy really is in a class all its own. From the original Max Payne giving us the feeling of "bullet-time" from The Matrix and film noir style of storytelling of Maltese Falcon, to the first Alan Wake with its amazing combination of David Lynch and Stephen King influences. Then to Quantum Break being almost a movie within a game within a movie. And of course Control, combining these influences with new gaming technology allowing environments to be very physical and affected by the ...
I keep hearing people having problems with them but I grabbed a series 2 a while back and still don't have any issues. I mean I do take very good care of my stuff, clean controllers once a week or so and the console every month, but the stick drift complaints and rubber peeling, shoulder buttons not responding, etc. and everything else I personally have not had problems with regular care. I feel bad for those that are having issues but is Microsofts support that bad to deal with if you ge...
@dumahim , so... You're telling me you aren't going to play those games while they are in gamepass? Huh.. Fair enough. But, then again, why not?
I mean if you have the time, which you clearly do... And the energy, well... That one is up for debate... But you're basically given free games for months at a time. And you are complaining? You could always just... I don't know... Buy them if you like them? Fuc**** Dumba**.
Don't look a gift ...
50%? Check your math, bot. Fuck this site.
This guy knows what he is talking about. Saturn, for its time and what its goals were as a console, were very advanced. Custom CPU architecture, custom GPU, all for putting out sprites at 60fps. Most Saturn games ran at 60fps. What they didn't take in to account was how many 3D titles would come out directly after the Saturn's release, and PlayStation/N64 did those much better. Sprites? PS was pretty damn good, but even then I wouldn't say they had Saturn beat in that area. Saturn...
I really don't have a problem with digital-only releases as long as I personally have the option, if I have a bluray burner or equivelant, to make my own physical copy of the game. That shows me that yes, I "own" it. As many websites have brought up recently, older games are harder and harder to find, let alone play. Having a physical copy at least allows me to enjoy it in the future as long as it isn't online-only.
Meeee too, after it was patched up I gave it another shot on my Series X and it was amazing. Graphics, variety of weapons, and the setting of night city is incredible. I've done a few playthroughs now with my latest being maybe halfway through the game, but I may just restart again after Phantom Liberty comes out with all the changes and tweaks they're making.
Would love this. Based on the variations of the COD engine, and being originally based on the id tech 3 engine (think Doom 3, but very modified), they could absolutely do it. And without much effort I would imagine based on how scalable the id tech engines are (well... can be). id has some of the best software engineers/programmers I've ever seen. And being under the Microsoft umbrella now so to speak I don't feel like this is a far cry from happening.
Can you imagi...
You come across as a very clearly PS gamer... So let me handle you in that way.
They (Acti/Bliz) have some of the highest selling games consistently for almost 25 years. They are still going to PS, and you know those PS fans are going to complain more than the Xbox fans... If only just because the company itself is owned by another first party. Sucks to be you.
Activision/Blizzard were never "bad" at managing small studios. Acti/Bliz didn't ...
I couldn't have said it better myself. Very eloquent.
