I agree. At the very least start this thing next gen and say this is the plan from the start. Sony has momentum atm and this will kill it. Ppl are already stopping themselves from buying ps4s incase this is real. This ps4k is also taking the spotlight away from psvr. Why flood the market with 1. A console that isnt needed, 2. Another product that also costs around 400 making consumers decide and 3. Killing the momentum of your current hardware which is doing fine.
Already have the camera and 4 move controllers. I wont buy a bundle. Screwing your hardcore fans is not the way to do this.
They did say that another reason for the 60 price tag is si they can update the game with free content over time. I assume eventually it will have paid dlc if it does well. But the idea if a 60 game instead of a 40+20(dlc/season pass) apeals to me more. Im just tired of all the super expensive dlc. And basically i like supporting new ideas/ips

I am getting a psvr cause i have a ps4 and rarely game on pc.
The way i see the dev situation is: if a game is good enough Sony can try and get it on psvr but there is almost no chance that a sony dev will release a game on pc.
I know psvr won't be as good as vive but from what I've seen it is good enough.
But people also forget that he wasnt just making a game, he had to build a game engine.
Now konami has a game engine that they apparantly will only use for pes and mgs. And kojima who build ths engine doesnt evenget to use it.
I will beleive kojima over konami because of what has been revealed about the working conditions at konami.

I dont know but i think it just comes down to the time needed to make a game.
If it takes long all these people have to be paid salaries. And i am guessing as more puzzles were created there are needs for making the required assets and ofcourse the voice talent used.
But i think it just comes down to the the time that was needed to make this while keeping everyone employed.

it has been well known that alot of content is comming in 3 weeks and that the characters can be unlocked using in game money.
The reason they released it now is simple. They needed to get it out so the players can have enough time to practice the game before Evo.

I use the US account as my Main since i had PSN before i moved to Holland. But i use my NL account to buy DLC for games etc. But the US account is my Plus account.
I also have a JP account setup and thats why i can play dragon quest builders on my US account.

People think the extra box costs a lot. It just unwarps the image and does the reprojection which can be easily accomplished by cheap hardware.

I already have the camera, 4 move controllers(since ps3) and a sony gold headset. All i want is a standalone version of PSVR. I believe they can hit the 300-400 mark for a stand alone version.

They can only do this via streaming. so they can perhaps recognize you have bought a game and make the psNOW edition free for you.
The cant actually do this like XBOX1 did it because the ps3 cell architecture is soo different that its is basicly impossible to emulate it in any good way on the ps4 unlike the xbox one with is pretty similar to the 360. even tho they also use a downlaod version. i do think the conversion can be automated pretty easily from 360 to One .

depends on why you bought it. Yes probably sunk in 50 hours but onl because it was a fun way to hangout with friends in the same game. i dont think the game itself was would have kept me if it wasnt for my friends being there to chat with.
I personally bought this for the nice story and strikes but there was little story and the strikes just became repetitive even worse when we got new strikes and they were just reversed strikes that we already played.

The problems is that there is no way for owners of the game to get these things without rebuing stuff they already have.
With FFXIV you can buy a normal expansion an CE expansion and a full game with expansions etc.
the problem is sony can only do this via streaming because the ps3 arcitecture is so different than the ps4. I also dont think PSNOW is their asnswer to backwards compatibility, i think they are testing this on ps4 but are using this to allow ps games on other devices like they started doing
The problem is not the DEMO itself its the servers needed when the demo is released.
I do agree that it has been way too long but at this point i think they are playing it really safe.
if they release the plus version and the servers crash again or cant handle it properly it will be another fiasco again.
All DLC is like this. It is hard to prove that someones account was stolen and that he didn't just let someone else use it.
They can try and say that you have a 1 hour test period and if you decide to refund it you can do so within that 1 hour. but someone will say that their internet had problems so they couldnt get online to refund it while they enjoyed and fininshed the game.
