I'm sorry, but Red Orchestra, as a series, has always looked very meh to me.
Not just graphically, the gameplay looks very bland and unexciting. I prefer Battlefield 1942.
Why so hostile? It's his opinion, let him have it.
On topic: I do agree with the full game needing dedicated servers. Also, the grenades need to take at least 1 more second before exploding. If not, get rid of the whole "throw back" system, 'cause it's useless at the moment.
@Tompeeper
I agree. :)
What do you call people that only favor one platform while defending it to the death? (Even if the facts are correct.)
The same can be said of any game genre.
Fighters - Press xyz to combo opponent.
RPGs - Press xyz to heal party members.
Puzzlers - Press xyz to solve the puzzle.
Racers - Press xyz to accelerate.
Shooters - Press xyz to kill the bad guy.
There are varying degrees of difficulty for ALL video games. Shooters can be just as complicated as the deepest RPG.
Nah, that's highly debatable. There exist some pretty hardcore shooters out there that casual CoD players would fail tremendously at.
I'd prefer Gabriel weren't redeemed. He needs to be the tragic hero who lost both his love and himself.
I'd like to see a new character (another Belmont?) grab the combat cross, and track down Gabriel for the kill.
Oh, the possibilities. I love this new reboot/series.
Did it say desynch or session no longer available?
There have been TWO patches since then.
You should probably check it out and see for yourself. There have been dramatic improvements. I recall you saying that I was "in denial" in a different news post. Well, at least I was actually playing the game and backing up my experiences.
I don't lie when it comes to crappy servers. The MK9 servers are drastically better than they were at launch. (I'm playing on the PS3.)
No more desynchs and almost no noticeable lag! Huzzah!
@rambler
Okay, so if Bethesda created a game that contained the following elements...
-Angsty Teens
-Outrageous Hair
-Enormous Swords
-Furry Creatures That Can Speak
-Summon Spells
-Turn Based Combat
...the game would still be considered a WRPG just because Bethesda developed it? I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me.
Demon's Souls is still a WRPG in my book. I'm not argui...
@dinkeldinkse
If it walks and talks like a WRPG...
I've always been under the impression that a game's characteristics define its genre.
I hear you on S.T.A.L.K.E.R 3...Oh, how I long for that game.
@rambler
Sure doesn't play like one to me, and I've played LOTS of JRPGs.
How about some examples as to why you think that Demon's Souls is a JRPG?
-Classic Knights and Wizards Template
-Swords, Magic, Dragons, Giant Spiders
-Hack n' Slash
-Dungeons
-English Accents
Seems pretty WRPG to me.
Agreed. Demon's Souls remains my favorite RPG of the current gen.
(I do believe that Demon's Souls is a WRPG. Sure, it was created by Japanese developers, but the game itself is very WRPG.)
I have no qualms with buying the game new. I want to support DICE.
@BoNeSaW23
Purple is a gay color? That's odd...purple and blue are my favorite colors.
I guess I'm not masculine enough because my favorite colors aren't blood red and death black...
Capcom has already said that Resident Evil 6 will be different from 5. I think they realize that they messed up the feeling of horror in 5.
Jeez, I really hope they don't fudge up RE6...
What frightens me even more is that they're trying to make it like Socom: CONFRONTATION.
*shudders*
Oh my goodness...I totally forget about the voip spam. That was SUCH a headache.
