Really? By the time X releases (sometime in 2014) the PS4 and Xbox one will have more games that are just as enjoyable.
If the gamepad was optional Nintendo would have to update the Wii U OS so that it can work without it.

Well that`s certainly a console seller for me (metroid fan), i bet they`ll bundle it too. If nintendo pumps out more IPs besides mario and zelda they can give the wii u more appeal.
