I am curious about the "other mature content" they mentioned. I can just imagine Leon and Wesker, (not you, Wesker. lol), dressing up in full body animal costumes. I think I will leave the rest to imagination.
I doubt there will be actual nudity in it. I screen the games my eldest boy can play and I've had 3 games that said there was nudity or partial nudity in it. This is how nudity in games tends to work. If you take Jabba the Hutt and put a nipple on him, it's nudity. So chances are if there is nudity in this one, it will probably be the deflated, rotting boob of a zombie, not Ada doing a striptease.
I really liked reading this and I agree with you on every issue you put up. There are a few reasons for why things are the way they are, such as the economy keeping the industry from wanting to step too far outside of the box and not as much "young blood" being given the freedom to do what they would like to. For example, the creators of FF7 are gods in JRPG companies. They are now the big bosses. They reflect on their own fame to judge what will be put out today. It is human nature...
And I can't wait to have good grammatical structure. Sheesh...just reread that. Too many buts and ands starting the sentences. I knew I shouldn't have taken all that LDS back in 'Nam. O.o
I like the article and everything looks good...but I am afraid to approve this because it might start catching on and then they might start to feel the same about independent writers.... O.O
Close..I was trying to say that females are far more complex than games in general portray them to be. this is understandable because up until just recently the game world was dominated by men, many of which weren't exactly Casanovas. And because of this games had the two stereotypical females: The aggressive bitchy type or the big boobed bimbo. As more women come into the field we will be seeing more diversified women in our games.
If the opposite had happened and women...
It's a good article. I don't really believe that gamers want more of the same, but like the gaming industry there isn't an unlimited amount of money to be spending on either side. The industry doesn't want to go too far out on something new because they can't afford to have too many games fail. Franchising is safe for them. By the same token, most people can't afford to get games they don't end up liking, so they go for franchises that they know will work.

Egads...I just realized I've passed a very disturbing milestone in life. I'm beginning to talk oldmananese to those younger than me. O.o
Heh heh...I wasn't knocking the Vita. Iron Butterfly was a band in the 60's that came out with the song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida." ; It was their biggest hit and was popular well into the 90's. It was just something funny that came into my head while I was reading. I would love to see borderlands 2 come to Vita. Then I could justify buying one. lol
I thought about what you guys said about the fembot cooking breakfast and suddenly I had some very disturbing imagery of where we would have to put the oil in one. lol
It is quite possible. It wouldn't be the first time in human history where religious conflict was started for personal gain rather that religious issues. If you look at what happened to the Knights Templar you have the perfect example. The Catholic church claimed they were heathens, even though they spent the entire crusades fighting in the name of Jesus. And the church had no problem relieving the Templars of all the power and wealth they had accumulated. I won't say this is the case...
Wow..that has to be difficult. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my wife and family giving help and support to my son as well. but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I'm sure you can relate when I say you really begin to understand just what you can endure and be capable of when you have children like we have.
I'm glad your son has the games to help him out, and that you were wise enough to recognize it. Timing is everything when it ...
Heh heh..I wasn't confused, just tired and not thinking strait. I was thinking Quake but my fingers obviously wanted to make me look like a dork. Thanks for pointing that out to me and helping me save a little of my dignity. :)
Thanks Ace! You are living proof that games can turn the disabled into the enabled. And I agree that even if you can't do something, with games you can feel what it would be like. And that can give you the inspiration to work and improve on the things you can do. Thank you for opening up as well with me. It can feel pretty lonely sometimes, but this just shows no one is really alone. And that there is always someone out there that cares about what you are going through. I hope games keep...
I was playing some Iron Butterfly when I read this. Now I have stuck in my head: "Oh my god it's a Vita baby..." lol!
I agree completely. Add to that how Activision would eventually be drawn completely into the Microsoft box of doing things and become limited to their rules and views. Activision has been pretty good at coming out with content that is outside of the game norms. With the major consoles afraid to take risks, companies like Activision have become the guinea pigs the big guys watch to see what direction their customers are interested in going to. A win for Activision is a win for consoles. A loss...
I just blogged about how it might not be the wisest thing to have a religion's god involved in video games. And this is a prime example of why. you don't get a second chance to do things the right way, and a mistake could have millions wanting to see you hang. They got lucky it was the Hindus they did this to because Hindus will show their anger vocally. Imagine if they had mishandled Mohammad.
Well written and good content. Please do as Emilio asks so I can approve you.
FEMBOTS! On a good note, robot women don't need you to cook them breakfast in the morning. :)
Loved the oddball assassination! My own skull hurt from watching it!
