Nope, OP is not popular just because it fan-service ... One Piece has a bit of everything and well used, best story I have seen on an Anime/Manga so far ... The only complain you'll hear from people who has not tried the anime is "The art is dumb" or something like that ... As I always say, try it at least 25 episodes, if you don't like it stop watching it ...

The units sold of a thing doesn't make that thing better than it counterparts; It's like saying some bad musician that this World has do better music than others because they sell more, it means they are popular thanks to all the kids out there but not better ... So the 3DS is not a better handheld, popular yes not better. The PSV as a handheld is way better than 3DS and anyone in their right mind knows ...

No, most JP games are Japanese only, you must need to read Kanji and/or speak intermediate JP to understand it, but some games that do not make it to the west release on China, most of them have english subs...

If a game developer want to implement the accomplishments on the game they'll be there for you to see them, but if a game developer choice is not to implement accomplishments then you won't be able to see them (obviously) ... So in the end it's up to the game developer, the system is there but it's up to developers to implement them or not !

If you're a fan it should not bother you, since you're probably going to get them w/o even trying to check which are the accomplishment.
