I interchanged remaster/remake precisely because of Shadow of the Colossus and Crash N-Sane.
They are remakes (new assets and more) but have the philosophy of a remaster. SOTC is the best example of placing new assets over top the existing code. This style blends the remaster/remake hence my wording.
A simple remaster would be quite simple using the MGS Integral PC version released in Japan, it's already 720.
A remake like whatever ...
I didn't think it would but watching this reviewer (my colleague) stream for an hour or so I was surprised at the elements that seemed to work better with VR. The magic casting looked more impactful and bow/arrow became super OP as he could fling them at a machine gun rate. not realistic, but was a neat too and looked fun to aim.
The other aspects like: Exploration, epic vistas, and of course the scale of larger creatures looked nice as well. It's not perfect but tu...
Remember, commenting on articles you disagree with actually helps their N4G ranking.
1) The reviewer clearly mentions he experienced a game-breaking bug and that the score will be updated if patched.
2) Reviews are opinions, not scientific fact. Breath of the Wild was a 10 for me, but I can see why it's a 7, 4, 2, for others.
3) Commenting negatively on headlines only drives them further up the N4G charts.
I'm not big on numbers for review scores but gave it 5/5 (N4G changes it to /10). No game is perfect. BotW has performance issues, a slight lack of enemy variety, and I would have liked to see a better travel system to discourage fast travel (skipping and hopping with paraglider would be fun)
But the experience and feeling this game gave was irreplacable. I thought I had grown out of Zelda games after Ocarina, and at times I feel like I've grown out of gaming all ...
I only brought up the sales to theorize why Nintendo included a tutorial DVD.
My main point is that New Mario U and 3D World are better than Galaxy because they have more precise control and speed.
I should have called it 'Galaxy is overrated'
I love starting up my SNES. It loads immediately and never requires system updates. But like the picture states, I loved New Mario U, thought it outclasses Galaxy in terms of pure fun. 3D World was great as well, but because it borrowed 2D Mario mechanics
Yes. Mario 64 sold 11 million out of 32 million N64 owners. They sold less copies of Galaxy despite having 100 MILLION Wii owners. Selling just a third compared to New Super Mario Wii. Unremarkable.
2D Marios have trounced 3D every generation.
I loved Mario 3D World because of it's 2D tendencies. It emphasized speed, a fixed camera, and precise platforming
The review was actually 3/5. which feels like a good enough game with flaws. A 6/10 being deemed so terrible is why I disagree with most rating systems.
A review should let gamers know if it's worth buying whether they are fans of the genre or not. A criticism should dive deeper, make a statement, and invite debate.
I'd give it a 5/5
I don't want to jinx it, but I'm loving the positivity in this comment section

I said 'likely' because it wasn't a scientific study, merely a musing. But I appreciate you chiming in and ...
It could theoretically evolve out, but I don't see that happening by the next console cycle.
Thanks Woolly_
I have zero interest in playing Steep, but if the Switch can run games of that level, I'm assuming they can run future current-gen games.
pubishers are wary of putting anything. Steep is a low-risk property for Ubisoft. They'll put Ghost Recon and everything else if the Switch gets a large enough install base
I'm not saying Steep is important because it's popular or fun. I'm saying it's the best example of the Switch running current-gen Xbox/PS4 level games.
hahahah
Yeh, it's more the idea of it being a slow burn and people coming around to see what all the fuss was about.
Good point, but the dialogue would need to be expanded big time and I'd rather see Kojima on that. Most of the first game is just untying people from chairs who tell you where the next person is.
