Well Portal 2 was great, but not a FPS. KZ3 and R3 were better than C2 IMO. Haven't played Rage, but it looks like a bore (bunch of fetch quest, really?). I just started Bulletstorm, seems nice so far.

DF has been in love with the 360 from the start, Mr. Ledbetter who used to post as grandmaster on Beyond3D has always had a pro-360 and anti-PS3 slant and still does. You can see it in any head to head or exclusive write up. So slobbing all over Gears 3 when it is just another AA-less UE3 game is predicable. Just go read the FFXIII head to head for a real laugh, you can just hear him crying as he wrote it.

The 360 was rushed to the market and built like crap. They didn't have faith or didn't want the cost of HD-DVD, so were stuck with DVD. 6.9GB is not a lot, even back then. The noise and limited space is an Achilles heel.
Sony paid for BD with high initial cost and high seek times, but it is better than the alternative.

I don't understand, they have a set of down sampled texture in case you have to stream from a slow device like a DVD drive and a set of high res textures for HD installs? But what about the GPU having to move around and render these larger textures? The performance of the high and low cannot be the same, so maybe you can get a more steady 30fps with the low res set?
