I think Blu-Ray wont reach its full potential until others follow suite.
I also think we have got to the stage where most PS3 gamers realise this. In all honesty i think the PS3 were a bit too quick off the mark to get blu-ray gaming to the masses.

From what ive been told apart from the disc change which will be like every 6 hours which you would have to be an obese neanderthal to find that too stressing. Last generation was a white wash, PS2 was miles more successful than its rivals. So much so that certain publishers developed just for PS2 easy examples are Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Tekken, Final Fantasy. These were exclusive purely based upon the fact the publishers couldn't care less to port them to the unsuccessful Gamecube and the original Xbox who entered the party far to late. I can see your point about exclusive rights should be specific to one platform, but you must also consider how many own a pc worth playing games on. I've recently purchased a quad core PC but with a pathetic 256mb motherboard GPU which would play most recent games at around 2-3 fps. The only thing that disapointed me was the 4 square mile multiplayer maps. Took a bloody age to get from one side of the map to the other.

In response, i dunno, Sony have a reputation of announcing games whilst the game is probably in the feasibility phase of development. Remember the Tekken and Gran Turismo trailers before the PS3 even came out. Unless they have changed their act recently i wouldn't be surprised in finding out sometime soon what is coming out on ps3 in 2014.
I do see your point MeatAbstract, i was lucky enough to pay £26 on day of release. I can understand people for thinking Activision are really milking the cow here. Unfortunately i feel this is the way things are going, Call of Duty is a succesfull franchise, who's to say Halo or Uncharted wont go down the same route? World at War and MW2 are not the best games in the world and pardon my avatar but there not crap either. I think people are just sick of the hype, there are plenty worse games out there.
