Technically it is MS making the purchase, the studio does not have that kind of pull to make a 2 billion dollar purchase. This is coming from the CEO and board members. If Phil had this kind of freedom with the checkbook he would have definitely bought some four studios for that kind of cash. Something bigger is at hand .

Hey for as much as I hate the fickle , sometime anti American market of Japan . MS sells more than just Xbox ones, they sell mobile phone, tablets, software of all kinds . They need at least stay visible. Cant just up and leaving due to a few screw ups .
