Blew you away? You must have had pretty low expectations if that's all it took to blow you away.

Waited over 4 years for Metroid Prime 4 and we get a 2.5D metroid fusion sequel. I have no idea why people are in love with this. It looks dated and very uninspiring.

But hey it's Nintendo. They could polish a dog shit and people would buy it.

Nintendo being Nintendo I guess

I have a sad feeling that Microsoft are going to ruin Bethesda

1827d ago 32 agree18 disagreeView comment

Yes Housemarque! How has that not happened yet?

1827d ago 10 agree1 disagreeView comment

That's nice. But this article is about Sony, not Microsoft.

Bluepoint are mature 😏

But they weren't racing games hurtling along at 150mph. What use is ray tracing when this are moving so fast you can't actually see it? It's just a waste of resources surely?

Not really sure how a racing game would benefit from RT if I'm honest. Things are moving too fast that any ray tracing would more or less be unnoticeable. I think they made the right call by making RT available in Forza Vista but not in actual gameplay. It frees up much needed resources

I bet they won't

That's actually not good for the industry as a whole. It's pretty clear Microsoft's strategy is that you subscribe to a service and never own the games you play.

Of course that's good for you because it means you're not shelling out £70 for something you might not like but I think this is ultimately bad for the industry. I don't want to see Netflix style game "rental" services where games can be removed by the host whenever they want. ...

It also begs the question.. what exactly was the footage we saw at E3 yesterday running on? No way was that 30fps in the trailer. Was it running on a PC or was that actually performance mode on Series X? I know they said it was in engine footage but I don't recall them saying it was actual SX footage

Same. Racing games just aren't as responsive at 30fps. There is the performance mode though, so that's good. I tend to play most of my games in performance mode on PS5 anyway, for that 60fps goodness.

I'm playing R&C in performance RT mode. It still looks great so there's no reason why FH5 won't look great on performance mode. I reckon it'll be around 1800p

Er, OK. You sound about 5 years old. Perhaps learn how to be a bit more grown up in your attitude

I didn't realise I'd already commented on this thread. I need this message deleting!

Blimey, the Series S version is 1080p/30? So what will it be at 60fps? We're looking at sub-full HD.

Also what about One X and S?

I'm sure it'll still look amazing but it seems like they're going to have to make some pretty big concessions to get them running at 60fps. 30fps in a racing game is just a big no-no

It's the UK. We use GBP here so it's £70 and yes when the product is a quality one I'll happily pay it

It deserves to. On a technical level it's amazing. It doesn't hurt that the game itself is pretty decent too 👍
