I admit I exaggerated lol.
I didn't mean to bash NG in any way.

Either way, Demon's Souls isn't really an fast-paced action game as in DMC or NG.
It's much slower and taking time to think of the strategy weighs more.

It's a very good game for people who want to spend time with it.
I hope you guys enjoy.

I hate to break it to you, but DS usually has one checkpoint (you can open shortcuts in most cases tho) and...

Difficulty and fun can come in package.
It's difficult, but not impossible. And it doesn't require super human reflex like Ninja Gaiden.
You just need to be patient and learn the patterns and environment.

When you finally beat the boss, the sense of accomplishment is quite something, especially if you don't look at wiki and figure out yourself.

But if you are impatient and can't tolerate that you die more than 3 times in rpg, then this game is not for you...

Do you have enough soul level?
Is your equipment suitable for the enemy?
Do you have enough healing items?
Remember to learn enemy attack patterns
Study the surrounding environment. Can you lure them and kill one by one?
Maybe you should summon blue phantoms to help you

Remember it's not hack'n'slash game. Trying to muscle the way out and you will get stuck.
But even if you are not good at action game, thinking about the tactics well and you sh...

There are some serious bugs, but it seems pretty rare to encounter.
One is that some NPCs gone missing.

Many people don't know about Yurt assassinating NPCs, so they misunderstand the disappearance as bug, but in rare cases some NPCs who are not supposed to be his target can disappear like Ed in Stonefang.

I doubt they will allow you to pause.
Especially considering the fact that they meshed together the online aspect with single player so closely.

just beware that the small instruction manual in asian ver. doesn't explain whole a lot. You might need either read the pre-placed messages in nexus (go down the stairs) or look into wiki for detailed explanation.

I've been spoiled by Naruto Ninja Storm too much to be amazed by this.

What trend?
There have been numerous games with matured, reality-grounded themes.
Max Payne? GTA (especially 4)?
I think you would be happier playing them.

Problem is that you can't go too over the top with these themes.
Devil May Cry, for example, would not be possible with a world based on reality.
As soon as you toss up an enemy with sword, you toss the feeling of reality out the window. It doesn't matter whether it's puppet-like devils or italian...

> I always find multiplats more interesting than exclusives. Just my taste.

If you say that to Gears of War or Halo, then I believe you :)

Kind of depends.
When you die, it's usually your fault and not because of unreasonable control issue or cheap enemy (though it does have camera issues every now and then.)

I tend to get frustrated too when I die too many times, but weirdly I didn't with this game. I know I screwed up and I did have control over my action.
Some people have problem with the fact that when you die, you have to start again from the beginning of the level, but repetition is necessary to l...

I'm almost certain it's just a flash from camera
I mean, they look pretty much the same on other pics, so wouldn't that be really the only reason they would look that drastically different?

Looks pretty much the same to me.

I don't mind the simon says as long as the story doesn't end up being matrix knock off crap like Indigo Prophecy.
I think of their game as more like interactive movie anyway.

What pissed me off in IP was that "everything you do has consequences" premise. That was bullshit. Only part that reflected the concept was the beginning.
If they kept the concept and the storyline of that beginning and made it a kind of fugitive type thriller, that would have been bril...

If action RPG is your cup of tea, I would suggest to import Demon's Souls.

I love the concept very much.
I knew this game would be fantastic and i can see it will.
My only concerns were animation of other characters, and I would want the "good" and "evil" notification to just appear without stopping the game flow.

I just placed the order at play-asia.com
I'm assuming it will be here around second week of Feb.

Here is the image.

I believe this game is mostly for hardcore From fans since the age of King's Field, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

albeit a bit too extreme.

A lot of 3D fighters suffer from soulless, action figure-esque face expressions.
I would like to see more of this in other fighting games.

Obviously they will need to sell a lot. And I mean A LOT to actually make profit out of it, but I'm sure most of its cost went to development of the engine, so they can offset the cost by making KZ3 or some other game with the same engine (tweaked, of course,) or licensing other developers to use their engine.
