crossplay doesn't matter. The only way it would is if you had so few users that you couldn't form a game with just players from your system.
I found the 3DS to have a few gems but the vast majority of releases for it are just shovelware of the highest order. I preferred my Vita to my 3DS. Even though it had less big releases it had more releases of cool indie things I wanted to play. I'm really liking the Switch so far though. It kind of feels like the handheld I've always wanted if they can get a good flow of games coming.
I think they should start doing cross platform stuff. Have the games that would be doable on Switch also come to switch.

This is just news to bolster the release of the Scorpio version. I'm making a prediction right now that Destiny 2 has a marketing deal with Microsoft and will be one of the big 3rd party games in their E3 show.

Yeah it does. Perhaps you remember a system they made called the WiiU. It didn't have good 3rd party support and it failed hard.

I got it. It's not great but it's fun. The Aim controller has a lot of potential. It felt good and is fun to use.
I think they were 60 now you can get them in the 40s.
I take mine all over the place. It's great. Glad you like your controller. I haven't bought one yet because 70 for a controller feels like they are stealing from me.

I wish there would be another portable console war. I love handhelds. I'll buy all of em. If Microsoft made an Elite portable with leather grips and a metal body that ran windows 10 I'd be all about it. It would get me buying xbox games again since I buy all my multiplats on PS4 right now.
Ooh I didn't know it was going to support Aim. I might have to rebuy it. It's going to look so ugly compared to Oculus though. I just have the OG PS4 and this game makes my gaming PC work.

because 3DS has a larger installed base right now. It's probably better for the publishers to be releasing on the 3DS right now, but they could make more money with Switch ports. Couldn't be all that difficult with sprite based games.
