Each point is marred by a negative, it isn't a great game but it isn't a fantastic game.
5/10 is a 50% score, it means 'average', that's what this game is, average.
Singleplayer's fun. that is all I can say really.
The multiplayer is forgettable and the singleplayer lacks what makes a singleplayer good, story.
It really is better for those who play FPS games as standard and I couldn't honestly say it is going to change my opinion of FPS games going forward.
I think the idea of Nintendo streaming a day of Zelda appeals to me more than any E3 content mentioned.
I cannot understand why the launch for the new LOZ can't wait until the NX comes though, I feel like they are selling their car to buy gas at the moment, probably just recovering from SFZ I guess.
"Beverly Hills, that's where I wanna be!" - I am so glad you included this in the article :-)
I love Notch, spoke to him a few times and every time he has been nothing but a great guy, he deserves every penny and good on him for living fast, we love you, Notch!
Disclaimer: I love Minecraft, I am biassed.
I'm kinda falling in love with it now.
That picture is shockingly bad quality.
Fallon likes everything, like a stamp of approval from him means anything, it may as well be a Blockbuster membership card.
I'm all for a remake for the love of the original but this feels like a way of selling an aging series with new blood by going back and clinically refining what we loved about the series to start with. I will buy modern warfare remake on its own but I refuse to be bullied by Activision to buy infinite Warfare *just* to get Modern Warfare remake, I still have it on PS£ and am very happy with it staying that way.
I LOVE this idea, to see a sports game that 'isn't' football, cricket or basketball, is quite simply, a breath of fresh air.
I was never a huge admirer of SF on 64, I may pick this up if any more games get released to warrant the purchase of a WiiU. The time I spent with the console did not make me appreciate it or accept it's hefty price-tag.
So one of the only franchises they have and they decide 'this' is a good move?
Everyone is going to want to be Jason, I think this should have been more like an adult version of 'Naughty Bear'.
Sorry, to what are you referring?
The point of videogames is to offer an interactive escape and 'playable narrative'. Players will only be able to experience that narrative if they are allowed the chance to immerse themselves, DS makes this difficult for anyone who may want/need to do so.
It's 'pretence' for me as I reside in the UK.
They sell so well because they play beautifully and offer a unique gameplay experience - one of trial and error. An easy mode would not 'take away' death, merely reduce the number of times one should die by increasing HP or lowering a monsters attack. 'Git gud' is lazy slur developed by players with a superiority complex, it isn't helpful or challenging. If DS players wanted to be helpful they would offer suggestions for the new player, rather than just looking at them lik...
I am personally a HUGE lover of the Souls series and I have never found them 'difficult', that is not to say that they aren't. I feel that the Souls games require to 'think' in a way that most games don't, however, I also understand the counter argument and I agree that their games should not be marketed under the pretence of being 'hard' and 'unplayable due to difficulty'. I would much rather offer an easier mode to people than lose those people as pot...
The identity of the game and what is now marketed as are not the same thing.
Number 2 but specifically 'Scholar Of The First Sin' DLC. - I misread the comment!
Score has recently been changed to 7.5 due to that fact that I feel I was being a tad harsh and diluting the importance of gameplay by focusing on a lack of story, I have come to realise that Doom is not about narrative and as such, should not be judged because of a lack 'of' narrative. The review read as quite an unbalanced review and I feel I did not calculate all of the factors before making my final decision, my apologies to all who may have been offended and I hope this doesn...
