Did this game release in the west?
Was it marketed at all?
If not then the low sales are explained right there. Japanese gamers don't have the Xbox. They can't buy a game to a console they don't own. The game should have been marketed in the west.
Ori...cuphead...below...
Just naming a few. Please explain.
How exactly are those games earning money before release?
Okay first of all no man sky was first shown as a pc game before it was ever announced at e3.
Secondly people I believe Sony fans are not calling until dawn an indie. Unless we should ignore when PlayStation said they're giving that game the triple A treatment?
No. I am angry with PlayStation because they've turned Indies into Shit filler.
I'm happy Microsoft is helping bring real Indies to the spotlight.
I'm sorry but no.
Xbox Indies have always been superior to the indiestation full of crap Indies. Theres not a single indie coming to PlayStation I care about. Unless shadow of the beast is considered indie. Apart from that nothing.
Xbox has ori, below, inside, ashen, cuphead and more that all just look amazing. I want my front page(steam) and conferences full of games worth playing not Indiecrap.
I actually think they've gotten easier to make. They have all sorts of programs and coding that does things for them. Havok for instance.
Also games were cheaper before. so.
$60 for a game seems reasonable.
Problem is they want more money out of it. They can't leave money on the table.
I doubt I'll be hating on every game. In fact I doubt I'll hate on any game.
Creativity is a big part of what I do. I fully understand what it's like to create something and place it in front of an audience.
I hope the games are good and I'm sure I'll find good things in all of them.
Street fighter however, not even remotely interested. I don't like fighting games. I'm sure it'll be good in its genre tho.
You are 100% correct.
Fanboys no matter what kind feel the need to justify their purchase.
The Xbox is amazing. But they can't miss what they don't know.
Interesting to see how people suggest not to get an Xbox.
I wonder how many of those people actually have the Xbox.
Same for Xbox owners who suggest not to buy a ps4
I have both and suggest both. Especially the Xbox as it is downplayed considerably and is in fact full of games unique to that console that the other console doesn't have.
Same with mine.
2 Xbox ones and 2 ps4
Again games are a different story.
PlayStation mainly sees multiplats.
Xbox sees exclusives. so far.
Next year could change.
VR support is yet to be seen. Once its in the hand of the gamers then we will see what happens
The pricing on release can make it or break it.
And I'm sure PlayStation fans said numbers didn't matter and now wait..it's all about numbers.
I was lucky enough to not be engaged in forums in those times.
Honestly your point is quite mute. Why laugh at what someone did when now you're doing it kinda thing.
In my eyes their comeback started when they reworked their policies.
I honestly don't know why it's selling more. I don't think it's the games as they're mostly multiplats.
Micrsoft is trying really hard and I commend them. If they keep trying like this every year.
Well Sony better hope they don't run out of money for exclusives.
Btw greatness awaits...this time it actually does await us next year. For all gamers.
To be the games can't really compete. Uncharted and tomb raider are different games. One of them is completely linear the other isn't. One of them has tremendous wave based cover mechanic combat while the other is more freeform. One of them has rpg elements and the other doesn't. Not sure exactly how they compete but I know tomb raider is awesome.
Actually the attach rates for both are at about 10% for both. And then slowly growing after launch. So I'd say even.
Both consoles are selling better then their previous consoles.
In my book that means they're both kicking ass.
I'm glad to see Microsoft reaching 17million as there was a time when the ps4 had sold 17million no one thought it was a bad number then so why should it suddenly suck?
Props to both.
Yea it's free upgrade if you have a nonpirated version hahaha
@ showtimefolks
Halo 5 MT isn't content behind a pay wall so that's a bad example. And btw
Battlefront is here. that's a 60$ game with $50 season pass. Already happening.
How is Sony helping with development?
I haven't read an article on that. It needs to say concretely what they're helping with for me to believe they're helping with development.
Marketing is part of a games development.
