The last good shooters I played mechanic wise for me have been halo and wolfenstein.

Pc gamers have known fps greater then resolution. Even fps greater then graphics for a long time.
I just wish the console developers knew that and ignored the cries for 1080p
The consoles can't seem to do 1080p very well without affecting frame rate.
So I wish they just concentrated on solid 30fps instead.

What you call pc elitists most likely do game at 60fps at max or most max settings.
Also since you sound rather ignorant. Max settings on pc games are a lot more damnding then what the consoles run their games at. Also varying degrees of anti aliasing etc.
In other words we pc gamers prefer to play our games smoothly and at the best possible settings our machines can handle which more often then not is always at better graphics then their console counterparts...

Any new purchases of pc will help ms. They come with Windows. Also if anyone wants Windows 10 they have to have a non pirated copy otherwise they need to pay. There are several areas they can get money.
Obviously you'll also have a harder time finding the retail pc version then the Xbox retail version. More word of mouth from pc gamers on how awesome the game is may also entice more gamers to get tomb raider on Xbox if they don't have a pc.
