I don't agree so far, but I'm hoping 343i has learned and improved. I have big hopes on the new game.
This is a controversial view on Halo. I'm somewhere in the middle on it. I'm not impressed so far with 343i, but perhaps then can learn a few things and improve. I don't like how they have meddled with some core staples of Halo, especially in multiplayer. I'll say to others, we want this "5" game to include more competitive gaming planning. That said, I just had to get a new video card (isn't cheap) and even with that I don't know if I'm getting to MAX out eye candy on the PC version when and if it comes out. That said, PC versions have internal tweaks to suit your own PC. Consoles aren't so lucky. Everyone goes down with the ship as it were.
Halo is still competing with games like COD. Unlike games of yesteryear, I just don't see people investing in a console to play one particular game. I think previous Halo games, yes, people bought them largely because Halo was the game of all games. I'm just not sure now with 343i involved, that Halo has the same presence in the market. I love the series, but I think Microsoft is needing to face the new reality. Don't forget about merchandise and TV/Movies. Want people to care abo...
One big problem. You need a XB1 to play it. That reduces their chances significantly for a smashing success. In some way this argument for a PS4 version makes a lot of sense: http://www.techaholic.ca/20... The point for me is that I would buy a PC version over the XB1 version. That's me though. No idea how the PC guys are going to get treated by 343i.

I just bought it new in store for $10. Crappy news but I'm glad to hear that it sucked online anyways. As a gamer I'm getting sick of being treated like an idiot. This is just another example of the treatment. I think there has to be some consumer watch dogs out there getting involved in these types of blatant abuses.
That POS killed about 3 movies and about 2 or 3 games. I LOL because even with the red box rental, guess what they had? The PERFECT CIRCLE issue. Not a fluke. It's a joke and I think yes, they should pay for this problem. It was swept under the rug.

I would say I'm that "juiced" based on those screens. Yikes. Based on previous reports, http://www.haloforever.com/ 343i doesn't have the greatest track record since taking over from Bungie. Regarding screenshots, let's just hope there something better than this story. I'm on the fence right now as to where Halo is going these days. I'm skeptical of 343i and their decision making.
The reason I agree with you is because it's never just plug and play with PC. There is always something that goes wrong. Regarding GTA 5 on PC, I think Rockstar is really going above and beyond with their resolutions for PC gamers. PC has been delayed over and over for a reason I suppose. Based on what's being said about 4K on this version http://www.grandtheftautofo... I might consider a monitor upgrade....

@Pumble, very astute. I never myself thought about the "1" as making no sense. As in, PS1, was the first. My brain didn't quite put it together as yours did. Perhaps it's my old age...not sure!
Xbone was I think the original. My preference has been XB1, but all I really see these days is X1. I guess people are lazy typists?

I think the "issue" that I have is I don't have a 4K monitor. If you've seen the game specs, or at least suggested PC specs: http://www.grandtheftautofo... then it's pretty clear that Rockstar made adjustments so that everyone won't need to upgrade their PC to see eye candy. If you have a 4K monitor and IF it's really worth it, then perhaps you can convince me of upgrading my monitor...
