They have to exceed what RDR was before. That means a ton of resources and time. It's going to need to be more than GTA 5. That's a big ask and will take time.
Too much money at stake, but yes it was originally an exclusive. Rockstar wants to do things big. Huge sales. Not idea how they get out of an exclusive deal, but Agent can't be just PS4. That would be nutz.
Lots of people commented as fake, but how so? What makes something fake? One thought. If you bother to fake something, wouldn't you plaster it all over the internet? It isn't everywhere. So why would you bother making something up that you aren't going to spread around and trick people with?
The one saving grace is stock holders. No new games means revenues shrivel up. On that basis alone they must come out with something.
Agree. I wonder though if Rockstar realizes the $$$ right now in PC gaming and as a result, they won't stall it out. I guess I have wishful thinking. I'm sure they will stall PC...again.
Take Two hasn't even used technically used the trademark. Hence, the asking for extensions. You can't just keep a trademark because you feel like it. There has to be a game in this case for them to even own the trademark. No game, no trademark. No game or plans, the USPTO would not grant extensions.
No kidding. A game though is more than just creating pixels. There is story and the more time molding a story the better it becomes. Please don't tell me that less time on a game = a better game. Also please don't tell me that they spend 2 years on this game. Don't you think when they announced it way back then that it already had a big investment in terms of dev time? Announce a game title that hasn't been worked on for a year or two prior? Ten years more like.

The fact the Agent trademark still exists says that they have to be working on it. They have had three extensions to the trademark which are only granted when someone proves that they have a legitimate claim. I don't see them waiting and holding this trademark for a couple years while a different game is being promoted.
I think to GoldenEye 007 which was a true masterpiece. The similarity is that Agent has been so long in development that it's set to be one of the greatest games ever. Other companies have to push games out. Agent would be unique in that the extra dev time could produce something crazy good. I just think it's within days of news breaking. They cannot keep their silence forever!!! GoldenEye had a massive amount of dev time which allowed them to create something deep and very special.
Agent is dead? The trademark extensions prove the fact it is not dead. Not at all. The USPTO doesn't extend trademarks for nothing. If it's legit, it can be granted an extension. If they don't intend on using Agent, then the trademark would not be valid anymore.

Agreed. Rockstar take way too much pride in what they do. They have more up their sleeve. They have to. I mean they don't announce anything and I'm assuming they work 24/7. They are building. GTA is going to have a long long long wait. I'm okay with that.
