A new game engine may be posssible, but I think word would have come out already. Perhaps Infinity Ward might have that task if they are creating MW4. My take is this. People endorsing these get a commission. Most of those people have been using for "years". Therefore, how do they know it's because of this thing that they are playing better? Seems like a crutch to me. If these guys stopped using them for a year or two, then tell me they suck without it, then okay. Otherwise, the joke is that they might be playing better now because they might actually just be better.

343i did screw up and actually they admitted they will do a better next time. Screwball matchmaking and lack of audio options? Seriously. Extremely mismanaged on a very basic core level.
I can't listen to what 343i thinks about Halo. They wish it was bigger than life, but as we are likely to see, the longer Bungie is not involved, the further the series will diminish. Halo was built by Bungie. Rare is proof positive that the brand isn't the quality, but the team is. The 343i team took the Halo series like a bunch of newbs. Real basic stuff they couldn't grasp. I know Halo and I know it's pretty much dead to me now.
@yarbie, thank you soooo much for that link. It's almost hard to believe, but right now because of that, I just became a MASSIVE Ubisoft supporter. The fact they even say right there that people can monetize the youtube videos? That's a company that I put my support behind. Ubisoft should really communicate just how friendly they are. Wow, they should be a trend setter. Screw Nintendo and the likes.
For competitive reasons, I hope the PS4 or XB1 consoles can detect and boot. Reason? Pretty simple. I don't want to playing people using key/mouse when I'm using a controller. Not fair, not fun, and the game goes out the window. Ruins it online.

The fact is GOOGLE is making money off hosting the videos!! You go to youtube to watch gaming videos. While you're there, you check out other stuff. The platform is riddled with ads. Youtube sure doesn't mind all the copyright infringement going on. People come to their page which is what? Riddled with ads. Them it's okay, the people making the video? Sorry nothing for me. Us it's okay, it's not okay for you.
Either you can or you can't rebroadcast copyright material. You think YouTube doesn't get ad money from their video content? What percentage of youtube videos aren't copyrighted in some form or another? TV broadcasts? Shows? Sports? It's all copyrighted. End user can't make money but the host can? Yeah whatever. There are ads all over youtube so forget about the on video ads. The sidebar ads? The ads on YouTube homepage? You're on youtube to watch copyrighted material....
This whole thing sucks crap. Is this Google doing their thing or the industry? Copyright on YouTube? Oh yes. Okay, I watched the latest UFC event. Okay, I watched 10 hours of funniest home video episodes. Etc, etc, etc, etc. F'em the game makers. People don't know copyright laws and neither does YouTube really care. If you have an issue with something uploaded, it's really up to YOU to deal with it. 10,000 videos to deal with? Hire somebody to deal with that 10,000, then hire anot...

Based on decisions from the upper echelon at 343i, I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving. Just from an outsider's perspective, they are clueless. They did and made enough stupid decisions to kill me off as a Halo fan. Bungie, here I come. Can't wait. You guys were Halo. Clearly.
What it means is that you guys didn't have to return a Xbox 360 due to RROD. Correct? How about scratched circles ruining games or movies?
If you answered no, then I respect your decision. If you've endured a POS RROD as I have, then your dedication to the brand goes far beyond what I call customer loyalty.
The ONLY reason I would have considered the XB1 at this point is because of Halo. Now with 343i onboard, I'll take a big pass on that franchis...
Guys. Think about it. Ghosts is a modern warfare style game. Activision isn't going to put out Modern Warfare next. No way I believe that.
