With PS5 just around the corner and next PSVR probably coming along, I don't think so. Next gen, VR will get much better and, if Sony banks backward compatibility, then it will be a must own!
If they get rid of crafting, that would certainly be an improvement.

Remember Wii U sold 13.5 million units on its entire 5 years lifespan an people predicted Nintendo would be out of home consoles business just before it took Switch sales off the charts with its fastest selling console ever. Those things are unpredictable.

I look forward to see where VR goes next gen, with better cpus and faster graphics chips on consoles. ps4 did a really good job, but wasn't meant for it from the start. Ps5 will probably be conceived around vr or, at least, one of its skus will support it on the box .
@akurtz I will wait till they implement a better fast travel mechanic before buying Red Dead 2. I can't stand boring, neverending ridings between missions in open world games. This, and having to worry about things like my clothes, my beard, my weight, my gang welfare state... Well, I guess I'll wait a lot!

Switch is 9th gen, so it's not accurate to compare to Ps4 and xbox one, which are Wii U (deceased) direct competitors.

I praised John, cause I really like DFs team work. Thereby I stated his comments are better than most Eurogamer reviews and said DF should be independent. What I didn't understand, and therefore a separate statement, is how could he and EG staff put a game like Tetris above God of War? Could have used a "but" there... (By the way, Fortnite was their runner up to game of the year). And before being accused of being a PS4 fanboy, I don't even own one. I got one from a friend ...
