@Mr Pumblechook
If I remember correctly, your comment on his post was considering console racism?
I decided to op for a more civilised approach - his article isn't bad, I really enjoyed it and I am welcome to share my thoughts on what he said, just like you're allowed to comment.
I was thinking maybe it could go to a trilogy. Then a prequel trilogy. Set in Middle-earth, back when the console wars raged!
I would like to hear their thoughts, although I doubt it'd warrant an article lol
I've not heard a worse response than this to the argument against exclusivity. PS4 massively outsold the Xbox One - why? Their exclusive titles. Now, this isn't me saying "Playstation is better, look at me, hahahah." I am a long-time Xbox user. Exclusive titles to consoles are buy and large the biggest Unique Selling Point of them. Without them, the can't sell nearly as many as they would like. It is a business after all. This gen, Xbox flopped it on the exclusive front,...
Connections and contacts are everything in not just the gaming world, but business in general - it's not what you know, it's who you know - which isn't a bad thing. Someone who can write incredible creative content, but not market themselves and said content is not going to get the job over someone who can market themselves well. Best of luck to her, great step in her career.
Great game, played 10 hours so far. There are some bugs that need ironing out. I wouldn't give it a 9.7 but its definitely in the high (7-9) range.
Yeah I could see that, although I don't think the sales on that game have been huge because they have a really limited print-run. It's games like AC: New Horizons and BotW that are just carrying the system this year.
Couldn't agree more, Covids made such a huge impact of the industry as a whole, and with parents looking for things to occupy their younger kinds, the Switch is a no brainer!
I am expecting it to catch up to the PS4 in total sales in around 2 years, maybe less - it's having a great time at the moment.
There's no official announcement on the release date yet so this is more rumour than anything.
That comment almost defeats the point of this website :)
I've never really used metacritic, their number of 72 seems fairly accurate though.
I wish I got to play The Last of Us 2, but sadly I didnt. God of War however is so incredibly good.
I've been playing now over the weekend and I must say that the game should not retail at $70 on next-gen.
I get what you mean. I personally enjoy both Western and JRPGs, but the last Tales of game that really did it for me had to be Tales of Vesperia.
Slightly disappointing to hear this so close to release - i can understand the rationale but surely they've been able to test this across 7 of the 9 consoles they are blaming the issue on???
Doesn't make too much sense at that point if you ask me, sounds like a corporate ploy to move it into a month with less competition.
But dynamic scaling isn't native 4k because it means it won't always run at 4k, just like the game never really ran at 1080p. I get what you are saying that it's still enhanced, but it's far from an upgrade. It will be nice to see it stay consistent at 4K, but it is going to be more upscaling than anything because they aren't releasing updated/uncompressed textures for it on the Series X. If anything, it will stay constant - which it was supposed to do on the One X.
I like what you did there ;)
I agree, it is a real shame - it may not be great, but it deserves the same treatment.
I mean, the article itself was really good and well written, but to blacklist it because it's a different opinion to yours? Big issue with this site - difficult to have different opinions and be civilised with it !
