EA should just expand on the space battles and release a fully fledged game similar to Ace Combat set in the Star Wars universe or X-Wing vs TIE Fighter.

It will be interesting to see if Sony decides not to hold a conference at Gamescon next year, though I'm sure they will continue to support the Paris Games Show.
I can see Konami licensing PES, Silent Hill and Metal Gear to other studios/developers whilst concentrating on mobile and pachinko. They will no longer be a AAA studio, but retaining control over their IPs.

That would've pushed the price of the console up even more (including the Kinect). Great of MS to develop this for those that want the option.

Personally, I'd prefer to have a new storyline that takes place before 1911. Not really liking the idea of multiple protagonists. I think it would be better to concentrate on a single protagonist and story that isn't related to the events of Red Dead Redemption or Revolver.
The 'Just Business' mission from GTA: San Andreas was great fun.

If Konami wanted to move away from console development, it could've been handled much better and without resorting to what is alleged in the article. It all sounds very mean-spirited and petty.
Konami got mad at Kojima because that $80m could've gone towards a heck of a lot of pachinko games instead. /s
