Thats what i try to say , but no one seems to understand , every older horror games had guns and most were amazing. RE had infinite ammo machine guns, shotguns and even bazookas but still is a masterpiece survival-horror game or look at Doom3. It can be done , if done right.
There must be hundreds of reasons why character is acting the way he is. No one even knows him yet, maybe he isn't scared as much ? Or just remember older games like RE and Silent Hill , i don't recall any of those characters shitting their pants at every zombie, they compare it to whiny characters like Amnesia and Outlast where we had to wrestle with and control a whiny little crappy pants through half scripted game. They were ok but they don't mean the only way action horror gam...

Survival horror was a term invented by RE creator. IIRC that game had many weapons and you fought and "puzzled" your way trough those scary narrow corridors.This looks more like Amnesia wanna be,spaceship walking sim. I still can't figure how can people hate only little bit of action in horror oriented games today , but they had no complaints in older RE games for example. The fact that Crapcom ruined RE starting from 5 then 6 , does not mean a scary horror adventure cant be don...

Yes , should be around 45fps with those specs, if as you say they don't screw up the optimization on PC as they tend to :D
For 30 fps i assume something like 270x which i own will be enough on max with fxaa, but for constant 60fps 290 or 780 will be needed.
It may be slight issue , but even in RE 2 and 3 you could start the game with unlimited ammo machine gun. This is action and horror packed together , no reason to NOT have guns if there are enemies all around , you must kill them somehow. Amnesia type of horror game is NOT the only way to do a horror game.
Its similar to RE4 , but more "horror" than action in RE4 was. Thats how this game is meant to be. NO reason to doubt man who originally invented the term "survival-horror" and has big place in games when it comes to horror. It surely wont be another brainless zombie shooter.
You are right , yet many disagree cause they think only way to make horror is to make a game like Amnesia and Outlast. Game will sure be amazing , its the "survival-horror" that was misused only confuses the crowd. RE4 fans will love this game and i think it will be even better , now that Shinji has more control over it then with RE4. People should just use term action-horror instead and see if they like it or not. Also some idiots will complain no matter what.
This game will never be like RE6 and i don't know where you got that from. It will be like RE4 but add bit more crazy wicked monsters , dark creepy places and lots of blood all over it. It will be what RE4 should have been back then. And some that talk it wont be horror cause there is action and shooting are just talking nonsense and obviously don't even know how to recognize it. As every RE , every SH and every Shinji Mikami game had shooting and guns in it.
Are you expecting fixed cameras and RE2 all over again? No that won't happen , this is more like RE4 getting fixed where it needs to be. They moved from classic style long time ago. Shinji even said long time ago that they are balancing action and horror all together with Evil Within.
What is wrong with shooting in a shooter-horror game? Apparently many of you instantly think Amnesia and Outlast when they hear horror or survival being mentioned about a game. This is essentially RE4 like game with more darker tone and will probably end up little scarier , i don't know what you expect. It's Shinji Mikami game and his type of horror. Many have different views when they think horror , its not always the same.
Evil Within is horror-action shooter , i don't know what exactly you expect from it and what for you is horror? Don't let game advertisement fool you either.
What you want when you hear survival-horror is probably RE2 or SH type of game , that is not happening here. Even Shinji Mikami said this game is mixture of action and horror elements and they try to balance it out , with RE4 they went too far with action , now it hopes to be more balanced.
