The Disc swapping is not an issue. But for $65 if you have the option to buy the best possible audio/visual experience as well as have it on a single disc, it's a bit of a no brainer.
Some people are born "special", other people choose to be. This my friends, is an example of someone who "chose" to be.
Here's some food for thought, most 360 games that are PORTED to the PS3 only use the main processor in the CELL and not even touch the SPEs. Though it is a poor port, it's still relatively impressive that the PS3 can still run a game while only using a fraction of it's real processing power.
So when you use all the SPEs and take the load off the GPU to calculate physics, audio, and other things. You get Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, GoWIII, Wipeout HD, etc.
Need I say mo...
"So no version would be 'alot' different then the other
kudos to SE for that "
lol
So better audio quality, uncompressed video quality, and a single disc isn't "a lot" different?
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
It says a dual layer disc, so it's an assumption that it's 25gb minimum. It could be anywhere from 25gb to 50gb.
So theoretically if it's let's say 25gb, that's at least 3 DVDs to compensate on the 360 version because only 7gb is available for the 360. 7 x 3 = 21gb which would fit because it's compressed. Heck, they might even just compress everything and might knock it down to 2 discs.
So Multiconsole owners are more than likely getting the PS3 version, and PS3 owners are getting the PS3 version, and PC gamers who probably want to try out FFXIII are going to get a PS3 to play the PS3 version. That leaves us with the 360 fanbase which is predominantly shooter fans.
What's Square Enix thinking by announcing a significant difference in visual/audio quality?
Then again, what where they thinking about even doing a 360 version? Stupid Youichi Wada.
Well I'm actually interested to see if there's any new games or trailers announced. Otherwise I agree that it's just a fake superficial collection of celebrities and media garbage.
PS1 and PS2 is proof. Heck, they still haven't fully given up on UMD movies.
"Don't you guys get tired of taking about the same sh*t everyday...? "
Don't you get tired of pointing out the same sh*t everyday...?
What if it rains? Oh dear
Don't get me started with the Jonas brothers lol *vomits*
While I was making a joke, I agree that Halo lovers won't mind if there's more Halo.
But there comes to a point where a series needs to just give it a rest. For example, as much as I love the entire Metal Gear Series, it's smart to finally let Solid Snake rest for once.
"well, it sold fairly badly the first time, so... let's try porting it!"
Right, it sold fairly "poor" on the platform targeted at the wrong demographic.
Proper English and common sense isn't your forte.
I'm thinkin Resistance 3, Agent, and maybe something from Incognito the people who worked on Warhawk.
andddd Agent.
Come on, Rockstar North and PS exclusive = Win
"Anyone really expect them just to roll over? "
Yeah, the entire media, 360 fanboys, and Microsoft.
You forget all those "PS3 is doomed" articles already?
:)
It's because MW2 delayed everything.
I think the reference to why "Jap" is offensive to Japanese people, because they were called "Japs" in WW2.
Jap
n. Offensive Slang
Used as a disparaging term for a person of Japanese birth or descent.
"Veteran and author Paul Fussell explains the usefulness of the word during the war for creating effective propaganda by saying that "Japs" "was a brisk monosyllable handy for slogans like 'Rap the Jap' or 'Let's Blas...
Who honestly cares what Famitsu thinks after their Haze review.
You should become one. In most cases, no tax, free shipping, and lower prices.
For example Best Buy would charge something like $2400 for an HDTV, while amazon will charge $1600 with FREE SHIPPING and NO TAX. That's how I got my LN46A750.
Plus they have a lot of other deals on practically everything. And you don't always have to purchase from amazon, there's other vendors there if you even want to buy used stuff.
Pretty good retail site IMO.
I'd definitely like to see this tech implemented onto other PS3 multiplatform games, BFBC2 in particular. The BF games look great, and runs in 720p, but man no AA detracts from the overall look.
