guys THIS ISNT A REVIEW! its a preview, a most wanted meter. i know because i actually read this mag!
a few months ago, lair got 4/5 on a most wanted meter, they judge by how good the game looks at the time, and granted, lair did look pretty good then.
im not downplaying halo 3 at all, im sure its gonna a heck of a high review, and rightly so, but im just saying this isnt a review
wow i guess us ps3 fans were hoping so much for a AAA title soon that we overloaded this one on hype.
i was looking forward to this game a few months ago. but there you go, it was looks over substance. 1080p and 5.1 surround equated to nothing this time round
i kinda feel sorry for factor 5. sony probably forced them into sixaxis control to show how intuitive sixaxis could be. evidently not much in this case.
oh well, back to the drawing board.

gamesmaster is one of the best mags in the UK. they rate fairly - eg giving gears 93% and games like Resi 4, okami and SOTC 95%+
the highest review they have ever given out was 98%, and that was san andreas.
but this is a preview, they give every big game a preview, and a lot of games recieve 5/5 on the wanted meter. hell stranglehold got a 5/5 last month

i wasnt too fussed about it at first, but as i got into it i got hooked. i like the way you have to adapt tactics and change your folk to suit different enemies (or whatever you want to call them)
i also like the way they have implemented sixaxis into the game. it made me chuckle when i saw the wii like warning making sure you hold the controller tight and away from obstacles.
the demo is long too, i kept me going for a while. i preffered playing as keats in warcadia simply be...

im not approving this. everyone knows that this site is number one when it comes to breaking news. i dont know another gaming site like it - it rounds up all the gaming articles from around the internet and puts them in one place. its created by the people for the people. its not the sites fault that there are immature idiots.

nah i will admit they are in a better position at this time - numbers dont lie.
however, im strongly in the opinion that in he next couple of years the tides will change.
i do agree with you on that, but if a game got 10 for graphics, and 10 for sound, but got 5s for the gameplay, replayablity and presentation, it would average at 7, which it wouldnt deserve because its still a rubbish at the core. HS however, is not a rubbish game at core, which is where i agree with you, they should either use the average score, or at least a much fairer score.
i know there arent many games like this, and i agree with you that the overall score should reflect somewha...
so if your mighty halo 3 got a 6/10, you dont think there would be an uproar? your stupid tactics at trying to get one over on ps fans is unbelievable. go troll somewhere else you weirdo

they rated it based on OTHER games? why not actually eview the game for what it is, forget the console, and forget the other games. thats what they get payed to do. or at least it thought so.
i never really liked edge magazine anyway. i much rather prefer gamesmaster. they give proper reviews for all consoles

you cant degrade a game simply because its like another.
hell its like knocking down GT5 or forza because theyre racing games with souped up graphics. its ridiculous. im really starting to doubt internet reviews now. i have NEVER seen scores that were so far accross the board than with HS lair and warhawk.
im not saying its a conspiracy, but it does seem a little odd
i suppose they dont use averages because it could mess up a review, i mean imagine if spiderman 3 has epic graphics, and they gave it a 10, it would increase the rating dramatically, even though its still a poor game
im right with u there on mgs and ratchet. its just mgs is coming out in march and i dont know when ratchet is. im sure uncharted is coming out soon, i hope anyway.
by UT3 and haze i meant within the next few months. but who knows, maybe theres a biggy im forgetting. because im sure this autumn was gonna be a massive hit for ps3.

what are the upcoming exclusive games to look forward to except for warhawk and lair? this is an honest question, many of you know i am pro PS, its just i cant keep up with the dates.
the biggest game for me are UT3 and haze, but i dont know when theyre being relased

oh and ive solved the case to who the main character is - it has to be solid snake, the one seen in mgs 1 + 2. when he sees screaming mantis, snake says, 'it cant be'. this means that he has seen psycho mantis, and therefore is the same snake from mgs 1.
i know its not a suprise, but there were so many rumours as to who the main character was...
its coz i dont have a credit card - i wish sony would do those cards u can buy in shops and use it on psn already!
