Well, I've never heard of Nobuo Uematsu or his music (Probably because I've never played a single Final Fantasy game besides maybe Kingdom Hearts if that counts), but a great SNES soundtrack is David Wise's compositions in Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2.
Both have an immense scope and power to them that make the atmosphere of the games so much more powerful than most games at the time.
Aquatic Ambiance, Gangplank Galleon, Stickerbrush Symphony, Boss Bossanova, Crocodi...
Considering I've never seen the show and the VGX announcement made no impact on me whatsoever, I'd say no.
Megaton Edition is the full game of Duke 3D with added campaigns, enemies, powerups and things like that.
I'll pick it up when it adopts a Guild Wars 2 style payment style of "Buy the game, play it forever with no further subscriptions."
People are already spelling doom and gloom for this.
However, imagine a feature length Sonic film with visuals that are the same as Sonic Unleashed's pre-rendered cutscenes and in the vain of the 'Night of the Werehog' short.
Kinda disappointed that this was the "Massive awesome super secret world premiere" they had planned.
Then again, the VGX in general was disappointing.
I enjoyed GTA 5 over The Last of Us, but both games deserve Game of the Year, certainly.
I'm hoping this is a smear campaign and Fallout 4 is at VGX.
They could be saying it isn't to make the reveal more surprising.
Not to be a dick, but I found this hilarious.
NO-ONE is going to be selling an Xbox One at £450 when everywhere is sold out, most places are charging £600+ for a used one and even just the box the console came in is going for £200+ on eBay.
You're not going to get an Xbox One or a PS4 for £450 when they're not in stock anywhere until next year, you should have thought about that.
Also, your son is only four years old, get him a Wii ...
Agreed, the writer of this article sounds highly opinionated instead of basing his claims on facts.
Mass Effect 2 is widely considered the best installment of the Mass Effect series, so I don't know where this guy got his assumption from, unless he's making his own opinion on the game a bonafide 'fact'.
I don't think I've ever bought a console at launch, or even in its first year.
It could be that I'm usually poor, but also because it takes a while for a console to root in and develop a decent library of games and iron out bugs.
Its the reason I'm waiting a year or so for a PS4/XB1.
Bought one today, the NSMBU Bundle along with Super Mario 3D World and Sonic Lost World.
My body will be ready in approximately 22 Days.
My icon is pleased with this character choice.
Seriously, I can see Cranky Kong being like Yoda in the prequel Star Wars movie and just hopping around the place smacking things with his cane.
About time we got more Barbie and the magnificent games she features in; Little Orbit always delivers brilliant games one after another and this masterpiece of a series makes TLOU look like E.T for the Atari.
Seriously, the story in the previous Barbie game was so emotional that I cried like a baby, and the characters so in-depth and life-like that I really started to gain a bond with the characters.
This is the definitive GOTY, no doubt.
lolno
If this is true, I'm hoping for Toe-Jam and Earl as racers.
They were in high demand in the first All-Stars Racing, but the legal stuff surrounding them wasn't sorted till after the games release, so they have a chance, and with the Spaceship they have, they'd fit right in.
The All-Star move could be the ship flying fast using funk while they dance or the jar throwing from TJ&E 2.
I'd prefer them over Miku or that guy who drives the forklif...
Hooray, I'm the 1%.
I feel so privileged.
I wont be picking up the PS4 or XB1 until autumn/winter next year.
Might as well as give it some time for both systems to gain a wider variety of games to choose from.
What, no Alone in the Dark 2008/Inferno?
That game flopped harder than a fish.
The way I see it, they shouldn't be releasing the Wii-Mini in the US at all.
It was a failure over here in the UK, since a second hand Wii Console is about £20-30 these days, so forking out more money for a version that can't play gamecube games and is only slightly 'mini' compared to the Wii is pointless.
Nintendo should've took the money they are using to distribute the Wii-Mini and use it to further advertise the Wii-U and the fact it can p...
It was an alright year, not the best year in gaming but not the worse either.
