Not a surprise. Honestly Nintendo's at..what, 6 million LTD for the Wii U right now? If this and Smash can't put it at 12? They should go ahead and pack it up and just start working on the next console.
Same thing if Zelda comes out this year, only add another 2 million.
That doesn't help me, or the other gamers looking for games right now. It's great that they're sold out, but there are a lot of people who own a PS4 but no game for it.
Bayonetta 2's not out yet. So either you left out the other cool upcoming games Nintendo has coming, or that should've been cut to add stuff like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Sonic Lost World and NSMBU.
Either way: Nintendo needs more games. My Wii U is hungry.
There was nothing wrong with this Direct, other than the boring 3DS bits in the middle. If you follow the right people on Twitter, you can even find out what games will be featured in a given direct. Sakurai (Smash), Soraya (X), and some Platinum games people all RTed the Direct.
If you went in only expecting to hear about those three games, plus DKC and MK8, there's no way you should've been disappointed. The disappointed people were people expecting some magical ...
...Wh...what? Change your name. You're spitting on that dude's legacy with this bullshit.
6, 2, and ESPECIALLY 1, are all things I've heard multiple times.
Because the article isn't racist.
Watch_Dogs' delay hurt the PS4 quite a bit. I've yet to have a reason to play the damn thing, but it coming out later does help cover the gap between now and E3 alongside inFamous.
Not at all. There are FAR bigger problems than a new battle system. I'm fine with this action RPG style they're going for, I just hate how long it's taking.
Yeah, like I said on DS. It's pretty much confirmed this won't make 2014. At best it's a "It miiiight make it, but we don't really know."
*sighs*
Need HD footage. Looks fun, though. But if it isn't an MMO it's multi-player--look at all that player 1, player 2 stuff.
Still. The Direct did not disappoint. This was the game I was most hyped for and it delivered.
Yeah Bayo 2 could be interesting too. NEW announcements? Personally I think Nintendo's out of tricks, or at least pre-E3 tricks, but who knows? I'd prefer to be wrong.
Even Japan has no love for Knack, it seems. But on the whole, I'm hyped for the Japanese launch since I'm betting after Sony's done with that they'll start talking about games again.
Surprising no one. Can still be imported, though.
Primarily, I only care about X and Smash. Also SMTxFE, but methinks this is a 2015 title. (I'd rather 2014 but whatever.) We can pretty much expect them to tell us about everything up to E3, so this is a big Direct--or at least, as big as one can get pre-E3.
@wonderfulmonkeyman: That article wasn't researched properly. Some of those games have been canceled, aren't confirmed for Wii U, and some aren't really indie either.
@manicmayhem: Consistent with what? I wouldn't put Magna Carta Holy Grail up against Life is Good.
Nas' output is generally only bad...when compared to earlier output.
Crap sales are expected. In fact, 20% is actually pretty small considering:
A.) We're coming out of Christmas
B.) Literally nothing worth talking about came out last month.
By April, looking at March numbers, we'll probably be up YOY.
1.) This game will probably be awesome.
2.) It's still another platformer on a system jam-packed with platformers. It's great if you love them, and they ARE good games, but some variety would be appreciated.
I'm thinking its like Borderlands with regards to its online capabilities. Although I hope that doesn't mean we don't have an actual party.
