I would like to say that Shinobi's a decent guy, and most likely DOES know what he's talking about. If you want to blame anyone for this, blame Giuseppe for deciding this was worth posting on his website as "news". All Shinobi did was toss out a tweet on his own personal timeline about a game. No big deal.
First off: These systems have only been out a couple months. Second, at some point I blame the fans. Everywhere I went people were begging for ports of TLOU and GTA V, then Uncharted, Mass Effect, and more. They're really just giving fans what they want.
Visuals are apart of the experience. If films looked like they did in the 90's, not many would be cool with it. But for some reason I have to be okay with games that look like they belong in the late 90's and early 2000's? No thanks.
By the way, burden of proof is not on me. Indies have to carve out their own niche. If they do, good for them. That doesn't make me more interested, but I don't wish anyone badly because that doesn't get me anywhere....
I LOL'd at your LOL. None of the indie titles look fantastic or innovative. And I don't like CoD or Titanfall or any FPS AAA stuff. But indies just don't look impressive.
I'm sorry, but the indies ARE stop-gaps to me.
Consoles should get cheaper, not more expensive. Ideally in five years the PS5 will cost $300 and be even more impressive than the PS4 was.
No, but Sony did. The PS3 took them ages to turn around.
Just as well. I'm sure it'll be a great game, but at the same time I don't think it'll do that well on consoles. We don't really rock with isometric like that.
All I want is a new power. Get that count up to at least six, Sucker Punch.
Looks like Amalur but the colors aren't quite as bright. That's okay I guess.
But the weak hit detection is off-putting. And from reading the comments...this was supposed to be $50?! Are you kidding me? For a game that looks like this, with that combat system, I'd pay $25. Max.
Having seen this video...uhhhh....hell no. Amalur's combat was far superior to this.
Gonna pretend this isn't apart of the LotR universe so I can enjoy this.
I would like to know why their release date is like, a week before Arkham Knight, though.
It's too bad this game won't be all that interesting.
Guilty Gear is already coming to PS4, either this year or the next.
+1 for someone else enjoying Reckoning. That game was a lot of fun.
The headline is misleading. "Worst Received" inFamous is like a technicality. I'm not trying to be a fanboy, I'm just saying you're splitting hairs over like...six points. Those averages are all in the same range. The numbers are slipping but only slightly. I could see it if the first one was like a 95, the second one an 88, then the last one a 78. That's nearly a twenty point range, and it'd be weird.
I think Second Son is lower becaus...
Problem with being an insider is that even your conjecture is taken as you "knowing something". And when you have places like DualShockers trying to turn every single post someone makes into "news", and places like this trying to aggregate every game-related post on the web, it quickly spreads a lot farther and a lot faster than you intended.
But this whole "fuck insiders" thing in these comments is ridiculous and a bit hard for me to understan...
Read the first two sentences and could already tell they're wrong. The article WOULD be right if Sucker Punch sold players on "DEEP, COMPLEX MORALITY SYSTEM" and then suddenly we got "Save the Town" / "Burn it Down".
They set out to make you into either a Hero or a Villain, and from where I stand they're succeeding pretty well.
I keep saying CoD doesn't just sell to a bunch of people that hate it. People buy the series because they like it, for the most part. If you DON'T like it, the only thing you can do is buy something else. No company has ever listened to anything except sales, and if they did they went broke.
And no, I don't like CoD. I don't even like FPS. So I just buy the stuff I DO like.
I'd personally like more low-level quests so I don't have to FATE and Levequest grind all day, but that's just me.
Everything on that list will probably show up at E3, except the Visceral Games thing, which is WAY too early in development.
