It's like criticising Halo/Gears because they have too much shooting. The game just is what is it is.
Agreed.
Although, once again I'll let metacritic do the judging. I dont care how many copies GH:WT has sold, it's obvious it's a weaker game, just compare its rating from pretty much every game review site/publication.
Harmonix developed Guitar Hero 1 and 2, both of which scored really well, ever since neversoft has taken over the franchise has gone to crap, while Harmonix RB has scored over 90 with both RB1 and RB2.
It's definitely looking more and more awesome as they release more footage.
The one thing thats bugging me is how the camera works, whenever its cuts from 1 cam to another its not actually cutting, its just 1 camera moving real fast to a new spot.
If it has a couple of in game meters to travel you can see a random frame taken from the middle of its journey, its so freaking annoying. I've seen quite a few games with the problem but I really hope they get rid of it b4 ...
Yeah, Rock Band DLC is both backwards AND forwards compatible. You can play RB1 DLC in RB2 and even if you havent bought RB2 you can play the 100's of songs released via DLC since RB2 came out in RB1.
BAM! Yet more bands added to the Rock Band Library. GH's list of exlusive bands in getting thinner. Over 1000 songs playable in RB b4 the end of the year, oh yeah!
Bam! Another GH5 song picked up by RB first, and who wants to bet the HMX chart will be more fun?
People are finally starting to realise how awesome Rock Band is and how much the GH series sucks ass now.
Real life characters in GH is just laaaame.
Pretty sure there's already a few Garbage songs in Rock Band already.
By the time GH5 comes out it wont have barely anything new to offer. Rock Band will forever be way ahead of them.
This article deserves way more attention. This is a freakin huge step in rhythm gaming.
What a freakin rip. Get RB and the ION, or buy a real Midi Kit and plug that into the game.
I imported this game for like $30 and it's awesome. I've already gotten 22 hours of gameplay out of it and I'm still going.
The article fails to mention all the awesome stuff about it and what the actual gameplay is like.
It doesn't seem like there are many of us Aussies around N4G, but in general we're fairly obsessed with gaming.
I'm just glad I have a PS3, I can import any banned games or games that don't have a local release (Rock Band 2).
You can tell he has fun doing the voice, and he's entertaining to list to but man his delivery is not natural or believable in anyway, although the writing doesn't help at all.
There's been a few awesome GTA characters over the years (James Woods, Samuel L Jackson, RAY LIOTTA!)
And where the hell's John Di Maggio?
Nah, its a pretty reasonable price. It's weird that he didnt even mention lisensing fees, audio mixing and quality assurance though.
I still find it hilarious that Brian Bright said they had a sh*t load more staff than HMX and thus could produce so much more content for GH fans. GH continue to release crap DLC at slow amounts while HMX are bringing out a whole bunch of albums and things like The Who 12 pack, Iron Maiden 12 pack, and averaging like 8 songs a week.
Bri...
Yeah me too. If the US version is gonna be censored just imagine what they'll do what they release it in AUSTRALIA!
376 cosplayers? That seems quite unimpressive.
Why doesn't a highschool somewhere just have a cosplay day and break the record by another 1000 or so people?
Looks pretty sweet. Oh how I wish the PS3 version would have keyboard/mouse support...
Not a bad interview. No new game info but at least it wasn't the same old crap we've been hearing for the last year.
I'm getting pretty sick of seeing that "The Interview" image being used on Heavy Rain news stories though, what it is, like, 3 years old?
FREEZEPOP!!
HELL YEAH!!
