Well, because no PC gamer is going to buy half ass games. Its clear that Quantum Break is not selling; therefore, Microsoft is forced to release say game on Steam, to make profit. Hopefully, this also means GOG, amazon, etc.

WoW!! Steam is just too much from the Windows Store. This shows that PC gamers do not want a closed gaming ecosystem. I was baffled by Microsoft making the same mistakes again (GFWL was a closed gaming ecosystem), the same PR talk and basically not embracing the openess of PC gaming. I can 100% guarantee if these gaming PC features were implated on UWP:

Steam like workshop (official mods 😋)
Sales/discounts/loyalty rewards program
Hardware scalabili...

I am hoping that is not the case, but it may be true.😢

That would be bad, it will lead to a more business attitude (DLC, pay to play online, microtransactions all western made); as opposed, to a more creative attitude.

It can already be done on the PC. No need to handicap the game because is on outdated PS4. The PC already offers 4K resolution, VR, NVIDIA gameworks, fully realistic physics.

I hope it is

Sean Murray does not need to wait for the Neo, the PC is already capable of what he envisions from the PS4 Neo. Is going to suck that the PC version is a straight out port. I really hope the PC version of this game offers mod support, keyboard and mouse user interface, Nvidia gameworks, AMD tres fx. A version that takes full advantage of what the PC offers.

Thank you good article. The best games I have played are indie games 😎

I disagree with the author in regards that PC gamers have given a pass to Valve. Which is a lie (surprisingly no mention of Valve/Bethesda paid mod fiasco oh that is right, the media supported it). Gamers have told Valve many times to bring back daily deals and flash sales for its seasonal promotions. It was gamers not the media that kept telling Valve to do something in regards to the gambling of CS Go. After many months of that fiasco going on, the media finally reported it......

I may buy this game

Why hurt honest paying gamers? Oy Valve is going backwards. Meaning focusing on stuff people did not ask for.

Offworld trading company is pretty sweet. My first rts game that I can play on my tv set (no itty bitty letters 😀 and the best zoom in zoom out); as opposed, to my school laptop. I am just waiting for No Man's Sky. Will definitely play Abzu, Inside, and Song of the deep. Too much work and school has kept me from playing videogames.

But the games at G2A are so cheap.

Do you live in the US or Europe. I heard a lot of European PC gamers buying PC retail games. In the U.S. PC retail games are either too old or kid friendly games. What I mean is PC retail gaming is pretty much dead in the US.

Valve is taking too long and Microsoft did had plans in regards to game sharing. Remember the Xbox family plan. It can be done but it is all figuring out how to implementing it without affecting the game developers profits.

Console gamers do not want to let go of the past.
