I prefer reading/watching GOTY lists from my chosen journalists/youtubers. I don't need or want an awards show that would for some reason become the important GOTY list.
It's all downhill from here folks. I am guessing that in a year most big video game content makers move from youtube to greener pastures.

Both games are good, but BF4 is buggy and AC4 is the easiest game I've played this year.
Scaleble difficulty, why? Is it really that hard to for a player to learn the game to progress? Are settings necessary? I've put 100+ hours into Isaac and never did I think I wish this was easier. If it was it would most likely be less engaging.
Whatever people may think I still liked that Joel tried to get something out of the souless tool that is Geoff. He failed of course cause Geoff isn't even human anymore, he's part suction cup part dorito bag, but he damn well tried.

The sad thing is that Joel did what a game journalist should do. He wasn't there to suck the proverbial dick of the developers unlike Geoff. He saw something stupid or off and he pointed to it, not acted as if there was nothing wrong.
He made the thing watchable. Still this is the last time I give the VGAs the benefit of doubt. Untill they drop Geoff and hide him in some deep dark basement I am done. Never have I seen anyone so souless.
Joels additude reflected mine to be honest. The show was shit, it was going to be shit and it deserved all the shit it got.

I actually grew to like the host when I noticed the rest of the show and people involved were all part of some god damn circle jerk.

I can get behind those picks. The exception is the voice actress category. That one in my opinion should go to Ellen Page. The other two also did a great job, but they had it easier. Both TLOU and Inifinite have better writing when it comes to dialogue and so on. The writing in Beyond can be painfull at times, which is why I think it's amazing that Ellen Page was able to do so much with it.
I hope big stuff like Polaris, Machinima and so on abandons Youtube, show the fuckers at Google that it's the content makers not Pubs they should be working for.
