Since it's a reboot of the series and not a completely new IP they are going to use the same characters as the other games. It's just going to tell the story in a slightly different way to keep things interesting and relevant again.
If only DMC had a reboot as good as this one.

You know what I can't even give them that. Gametrailers had both those trailers and in better quality in HD. Seeing MGR:R in HD 60fps was great and LOS2 blew my mind. Such a great trailer probably one of the best I've seen.
And they didn't even show the new ZOEHD intro. They just talked about it and it release on other sites.
I guess the only good thing that came out of it was seeing a little more MGR footage.
But Soma Cruz was a good guy. He also destroyed the Chaos within the Castle thus destroying the Castle for good. The second game felt weak and I really didn't care for it.
Order of Ecclesia was good but it had NOTHING to do with the Belmonts and their story. It was a like a Side Story that explained nothing plot wise and it didn't fit with the timeline.

It's like they don't realize that Castlevania was done. Dracula died series over. The only way to extend the series is through a reboot. Lords of Shadow was great a little bit on the safe side but still great and these games actually look more like the original games.

Fanboys usually support something regardless of circumstances. I'm a fan, and a fan doesn't want the thing they love slowly turn into something terrible. Fans of the series rather watch the series die than have this piece of crap share its name. This whole reboot was pointless, and because of this game the DMC series will die for no real reason other than Capcom's stupidity.
If you support this game you might as well just shoot your DMC games with a shotgun cause you are still killing the series. This game is not Devil May Cry.

I guess people haven't played these games recently. Cause I got a pretty good Max Payne vibe from the trailer. Take off the nostalgia glasses people. These games might not be the same as you remember.
DmC does affect the main series. If DmC is a success then the main series is gone. Nobody even cares about DmC, they lost many of the old fans, and barely garnered any new ones. The whole project is a waste of time.
And honestly I'd rather a sequel with a slightly different feel then a reboot. At least you guys are getting a continuation in story with the same character that you love.
Honestly I didn't think it had any patriotic tones to it. Nothing about it felt like they were promoting America as something great or anything, all I saw was a Native American dude killing other dudes.
