I think the delay of the crash issue is that if Polyphony wants it as real as possible then the problem would be the crash test. Maybe that's where the "stubborn-ness" comes from Ferrari. Not wanting their cars to be crashed may times to see how the crash is going to react. Well if it's for realism then that's how I see it would take to try and model that sense of crash. Then again, go the easy way and make 3D simulation of crashes.

Yes! Beat it and loved it. It wasn't that scary though. Overused of sudden-pop-out-of-nowhere with loud noise scare tactic. Works well the first time though hehe. Got my heart racing a few times through the game.

I don't think it's anything like that at all. Just the drive read speed. PS3 has a 2x blu-ray reader, so yeah it's slower, but it is faster than the PS2 DVD drive. I do agree with making installs optional as appose to mandatory installs. Works for put-in-disc-and-play-right-awa y and if later...
I actually think LBP is Sony's top top exclusive(so yes, bigger than FFXIII). It's really enjoyable, for new, old and even some hardcore gamers.
Maybe Kojima will license this game's engine for his "rumored" FPS game
