Good news if its true. In relation to yesterday's debacle, I'll just wait and see for an official announcement from Sony if they are indeed having a price cut after E3 maybe.

This game is on my must-buy list. As soon as the reviews are out and I see 8's or 9's, I'm off to gamestop in a flash.

There are three things I can say about this:
1) This only pertains to Japan (highly unlikely).
2) When he mentioned "At present", maybe he meant not right now and maybe announce it after E3

Well it does makes sense and perfect timing too. After Sony shows off their killer apps plus this price cut, the consumers who are holding out will be more convinced to get one compared to before.

This is good news for people who waited for a price cut like my cousin who lately have been playing my ps3 more than me. I come home from college and I find him playing in my room every single day. Its time for him to ask mommy and daddy to buy him one. High school boys, pffft.

But..but..how can it run when it has no legs? lolz. Back to topic, well this is not the first time the playstation brand was in a marathon. PS1 and PS2 did it, so I believe the PS3 will be in the same scenario this time. Just look at the PS2, it still running the same marathon it started 7 years ago. I still have games I'm looking forward to it like Madden 08 (if the PS3 version sucked again) and that new Dragonball game.
After seeing the scan, I think this is pretty much a store promotion and not a price cut itself. Just my opinion.

This is a dream come true for MGS fans. I've been itching to play Metal Gear Solid for PS1 for years now just couldn't find a copy anywhere. I hope that they would also release this here in the west coast.
I think this is just a business move so the people who are still undecided and the casual gamers who are still holding out with purchasing a ps3 will sway more to looking at the 60gb because its cheaper. We here in N4G knows that 20gb is not really a big jump but for the casual gamers, they will look at the price comparison and decide from there. Now, if they'll bundle that with the rumble controllers or maybe just two controllers rather than one, then it will sound reasonable. But for only 2...
