It actually pulled my old save data from the wii mode application as well. So as soon as I fired it up from wiiU it already had my old save data (sold it a while back in anticipation of an HD re-release)...

The thing I don't get is how Gears of War which was critically acclaimed and highly favored didn't get the "repetitive/linear" criticism (because it really was there was one path you could choose like a "take the roof or go through the streets" type option). If you've played and enjoyed Gears of War can you elaborate on why this game feels somewhat lacking in comparison? In your opinion what does Gears do that this game doesn't?

I'm not worried about it. Nintendo are the kings of meaningful content and all their games are polished to the point of near perfection. I doubt they'll fill it up with lame fetch quests and meaningless side missions.
All the Japanese players will be on PS4s so by default PS4 will win. The few matches I got with Japanese players in SF2 or SF4 I got wreeeeecked...

It's being hyped through the roof because Sony is dropping millions of dollars into this event it's set to be on an E3 like scale and they have the floor all to themselves. They know that if they make this event count it will generate buzz that will lead to millions of additional holiday sales.

I don't even look at the back of the boxes on Ubisoft games anymore. Annualized releases have killed all their franchises for me. I played Assassins Creed I and II then skipped all the rest until IV and I think I'm done with the series for good.
The Arkham series fills that void for me, and Shadow of Mordor is 100x better than all the ACs combined.
Yeah I was getting bugged out saves in Halo4 as well as having the HUD not show up which forced me to back out to the menu... had to replay the first mission like 6 times :/

100000x yes. The polish is what's lacking in most of todays rehashed annual franchises. Nintendo is the king here, all of their games are labors of love and it shows.
