to be honest, I can't imagine that Kojima will let "his baby" go down with a crappy spin off. Even if he prefers the PS 3, he will start working on MGS: R as soon as he sees the MGS franchise in danger of loosing prestige.
He's not the type that watches that great thing he built up in many years of hard work going down in mediocrity!

It is the end of outstanding third party games. Third party devellopments will be mediocre like all multiplatform games. It's pretty easy to see the consequences: tho good coders and artists will all try to work for first and second party devellopers and exclusives will only become more important and even better.

No, the textures on the 360 look better! And there are some effects on the 360 lacking in the PS 3 version. The 360 has tearing.
For me both versions don't look very good. Nothing to cry about.

Buy all of them in one package! It's 13 € and contains 9 mp maps and playable MGS 4 characters. The maps are awesome!
I think it's very easy. 1080p is really important for the few games that are running at native 1080p like e.g. Wipeout, GT 5 P., VF 5, because they look like sh!t on 720p TVs. Most of the games that run in native 720p look better if you don't upscale them, but it's absolutely wrong to say that 1080p doesn't matter.

MGS 4 is by far the best game this gen. Nothing is even close to it. Played through it just 9 times, but will play it again soon, thats for sure!

No matter what game looks better (obviously GT takes the crown by far!), it's stupit to compare a game that's nearly a simulation with an arcade style racer. Though I haven't played Forza 3 yet, I would think, it will be as arcadish as Forza 2.
Even if you might say, I am biased (I wouldn't deny that), I would not compare the games because it's definitely a matter of taste what type of game you prefer.
Good for 360 fans, that they get their MGS now and good for me when it comes to PS 3 too.

Come on! they need to release new hardware! First of all: the 360 is completely obsolete. With no HDD in every unit and no BluRayDrive it has no chance to expand and stay on par with the PS 3.
Then it only has multiplat titles now. The few exclusives are not very interesting and not in the league of the titles coming to PS 3!
