Nintendo is the ONLY one who innovates. Whether that be with hardware features or even game art styles. Nintendo is very indie in that regard, specifically to new art styles.
People fault Mario for being exactly the same, but guess what, so is Uncharted and Halo. Uncharted specifically, each game, gameplay wise, graphics wise, is more or less exactly the same, just more powerful for the system. That is all.

Sony gave up on Supporting Vita. Pretty much have given up on supporting PS4 the first 2 years.
Nintendo never gave up on supporting Wii U and 3DS.

Uncharted is completely recycled. Each game has the same gameplay, new set pieces, and better graphics. IGN says it, even the kindafunny crew has said it.
