Honestly I would add in the Animal Crossing Speech. That stunned people.
Nope, not at the prices rumored. 250-350 dollars not including console, not including any software, is not a mainstream price.
Yep, This is why you have to take statements like this as ridiculous, although it is the mans job to hype up Sony products so you have to give him a pass.
A loud minority of games will like any gimmick. VR is as much of a gimmick as 3D is. Yes both add immersion.
The difference? VR tech is ridiculously expensive and you are strapping something to your face. Nintendo can get away with the 3DS since it is built into the system, optional, no glasses and is 200 dollars for the system.
VR would be: 250 dollar VR, 400 dollar system.
Honestly I do not think ANY VR venture will succeed whether it is sonys or Rift. I do not think you can create a 10-20 hour experience where a gamer will want something strapped to there face. Also at 250+ dollars on top of expensive system and game costs, I just do not see it being widely adopted.
The most damning thing was Ubisoft was not sold. Usually they are sold on just about everything.
Actually I do post in most Nintendo articles as much as I post in Sony articles. I own every Nintendo and Sony platform, and it is not like I like everything Nintendo does either. I am not a fanboy like some of these people who take sides.
I think VR is not practical at all. All we have seen are staged demos, controlled and designed so the media would think positively about it. We have heard rumors of an outrageous price for all VR devices that make it mainstream incompatibl...
No, it is not inevitable. If the price is anything above 200 dollars, that will not be commercially viable for "mainstream" consumers, a lack of software, questsions about graphics, framerate, comfort, ect. And we are pretty far off.
@Infamous
Are you a troll or what? I do not think VR has any commercial viablity no matter who does it because of what I mentioned. I get it, you think anyone who has anything bad to say about anything Sony does is a Ni...
Infamous does not have a history of selling all that well so I am not sure "what the top of the charts" actually means for amazon
I highly doubt they can fix the glaring issues.
Revolutionary? Not really. Sony just needs to focus on making the best games they can right now. A lot of there more famous developers are leaving so they need to focus on attracting new young talent.
Actually I never trolled Sony ever. In fact I got an apology from an N4G mod for having to deal with the trolling I receive.
Then again, you have one bubble. So really your a nothing to me.
Is he joking about the "good start" comment. Even Wii U started better and look at it now. All Hardware sales in Japan (yes 3DS included) are in the dumps.
Wii U is a great and pretty sexy system.
Nintendo is thriving a lot more than Sony or MS are right now.
Nintendo is growing, the others are shrinking the game divisions.
If this was a full retail game I would totally buy this.
Sony and MS and every other game company do the exact same thing.
Not that surprised the game turned out pretty mediocre.
No comments for this? N4G has a lousy comment base but I am dissapointed.
250-299 is not a mass market price. Especially if you are asking someone to buy a PS4 for 399 on top of that. Nobody has explained how this device feels on the face after a 5 hour game session, how the graphics and framerate and sickness will comphensate. It is easy to say wow this is awesome after a non consumer demo. But there are still more questions than answers.
I am sorry, but being realistic also means I am not a fanboy.
Kinect was 100 dollars, and sti...
