I put ubuntu on my laptop which is now close to a decade old, and it runs pretty darn quick, a lot quicker than it did with XP. Ubuntu is great, I can even play some later games such as world of goo with no problems whatsoever.
you don't have to play these demos or even install them to your hard drive, they are just there in case you want to play them. It has no effect on the game whatsoever.
this just makes me want to play Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I need to pull out my SNES now.

everything in your comment is backwards, not meaning to dis 360 owners, but most of you are 12, not going to lie. I think the average age of a PS3 owner is like 27 or something. Not sure, there was an article about it on here but it was a long time ago so I don't remember fully.

because if they put out a demo and it gets downloaded one million times they (the dev) will get charged $160,000 (this is of course if the demo is 1 Gig) they would only need to sell 2667 games (at $60) from those one million to pay for the demo download, and still have the other 99997333 potential buyers to make a profit from. Though I'm sure the devs aren't happy about it but they shouldn't mind that much.

but you got to give it to epic, they can make those crappy textures look really good. though I'm not a big fan of the any unreal games except the unreal tournaments, for they all look the same to me. some exceptions include mirrors edge, and thats about all I can think of right now, the modifications made to the UE3 engine for Mirrors Edge were very well done to the point where for a long time I didn't believe that it was the UE3 engine.

the blog is biased. However If you look at the images you can make your own judgment. I didn't know Gears of War 2's textures were such low res. You can barely tell when your playing the game. Though screen shots never do a game justice anymore do they? From these images I would say Uncharted 1 is better than Gears 2. in the graphics department anyway.
