For the second year in a row, MS have the more impactfull announcement with BC last year and the one two punch of Slim and Scorpio. IMO, MS won as the hottest stories on N4G after those E3 conferences have all been concentrated on Scorpio and XB1 Slim. People can't stop talking about them on both sides. That is the definition of impact.

Sony's back is up against the wall. Release PlayStation Neo this year and get left in the dust by Scorpio's power next year, or delay it and let Xbox One S be THE 4K Blu Ray player this Xmas and also the cheapest console to play 99% of the same games.

LOL, the Neo is not the XB1 Slim competiton. THE S will be the cheapest console this holiday with a UHD Blu ray drive extra added and will compete with the current PS4 model without a UHD blue ray drive.

A PC is essentially an Xbox if you have a windows 10 rig powerful to play it as the digital game you buy like Gears 4 is payable on every Xbox devices and vice versa.
So in the near future, we can expect to see laptops, surfaces with the certified 'Xbox Play Anywhere' tag with spec that matches the current XB1 and the user base will grow, and grow, and grow due to strengths on numbers of hardware avaliable.

Well written article. I agreed that the show was solid and there are a few great games like the new GOW and Spiderman but other than that, I don't think there were much to scream about tbh.
